  1. How does a pitch pay for itself? If anything, grass costs more to maintain and would cut off possible income from rental. As an investor, i don't see how i get my money back, it's not an investible proposition and i'm out.
  2. Bump- Brazil now proposing international co-ordination on a wealth tax at the G20. Overall I'm not optimistic that they'll succeed but i thought the same about international co-operation on corporate avoidance 15 years ago, before BEPS was instigated by the G7. That project has been a massive, but incomplete, success. Broad international co-operation is even more important to tax wealth effectively. Mon Brazil.
  3. That's it, couldn't place him.
  4. Cut the grass, scarified and jabbed it loads with a fork (garden, not table). Proper gardening that.
  5. I'd quite like a manager that does aeroplane celebrations but there's no reason that has to be Lennon. One that wins more games than they lose would be better though
  6. Slightly off topic as I learned this last night but French lunatic Robespierre introduced a metric calendar that France actually used. I don’t have any more details unfortunately.
  7. Four pounds to go to bmi chart based target weight. I don't know what i started at but reckon i've shifted at least ten stone. One teensy little easter egg won't hurt
  8. Ruined by putting the volume on an odd number. Prime too.
  9. Latest mission impossible Meh. Train bit towards the end was good i suppose. Too many characters and too complicated a plot considering how completely stupid the premise is. I hadn't realised that IMF stood for Impossible Mission Force before. That was funny.
  10. Neither I’m afraid. A female equivalent of a former player’s name with whom we share a surname is all. Like Thea Ten Cat or Sharon Mackie, but not them.
  11. Dragons’ Den needs put out of its misery. Enjoying Godzilla and chums or whatever it’s actually called on Apple. Verge of binning Netflix for having zero that I actually want to see. Only kept it for the kids about six months ago and they only watch tik tok and you tube.
  12. One of my daughters is indirectly named after a Dons player. She’s lucky it’s only indirect.
  13. British politics is a parlour game. Kind of like just a minute but rules are toe the party line for two minutes, no "gaffes", no "u turns". Bonus points for a printable soundbite. Hugo would probably be rather good at it if daddy's chums hadn't swung him that cushy media gig. I often hear The News Quiz and can confirm that he's not there on merit.
  14. I just had to check for reports of this just in case. Dave has warped reality.
  15. Works both ways but an initial good impression is easier to shift than a bad one.
  16. An elderly Yorkshireman, gammony? That is a shock. I was referring to football things, his sidies and his habit of referring to himself by surname in the third person, a lot. Not inconsequential shite about customs unions.
  17. Nine out of ten is the same proportion as 90 out of 100, but has one less significant figure, so is more right for 171/193 than 90%, which should be 89%.
  18. I think the dons could be in trouble here, maybe not Livi's automatic spot but trouble nonetheless. I differ from many posters by not finding it at all funny. Just don't see it myself. I don't watch much English "footy" but Warnock would have been on my list of people you dislike for no proper reason. Now i have many.
  19. Downloaded The Divine Comedy's Promenade on a whim the other day. Found i still know most of the words. It's good, even though they're basically just listing fish.
  20. I scraped the alloys on an enterprise car club hire fairly deeply and heard nothing back. It's not like a normal hire where there's a spotty youth in a shiny suit doing a checklist. You just leave it parked. Would deffo record anything wrong before i started driving though.
