  1. Probably quite a decent number until the 55th minute......
  2. Surely it is easier to have fans of lower league clubs abide by social distancing rules when the average crowd is in the hundreds. As toon 68 says , home fans only would be a start. Give the clubs much needed revenue. PFC average around 600 bodies per match(. Take off visiting fans it's probably around 550 home fans. At Balmoor theres 1000 seats across the 2 stands. Seat 100 in each stand it leaves plenty standing area for another 300-400 souls to stand in the ground. Wont be much different for other grounds I would imagine. If fans use common sense it must be possible. Face covering and social distancing can be adhered to.
  3. Luckily it was a fine day.......... Nae ower winnie.........
  4. I tried telling a Cove fan on twitter that he really wasn't all that anymore when they signed him and he immediately started with the insults. Let me tell you, I'll have the last laugh when Cove release McAllister after he's hoovered about a million pounds off them and scored 15 goals. 15 goals? How long is his contract?
  5. Thanks for that. Maybe our season could be better than fighting relegation. I though Utd had started the season reasonably well with a few decent results?
  6. Pleasant surprise at Tannadice this afternoon. Deserved by all accounts. Hope it's not a flash in the pan.
  7. Mid table? Before the season began I was thinking if we could finish 8th , I would be chuffed. I did try to watch the game today but gave up after 15 minutes of a screen with the club badges on, thinking it was my fu*I up. I'm assuming PD played well, mixed in with Utd being crap?
  8. Better result , and by all accounts far better performance in the friendly against Inverurie Locos.
  9. If he plays those long diagonal passes at Balmoor, they could end up in the bay! Looks reasonably composed on the ball though.
  10. He wasnt alone. Willie Gibson was doing the trip with him (until he moved on , obviously). IIRC there was another player from near the borders making the trip too. Anyway. A decent, solid goalie. Good signing for Stranraer.
  11. No pandemic in the 70s 'Course there was. Jimmy Saville to name but one.
  12. It may be on another thread somewhere but, what was the 'dirt' ,that The Rangers was going to dish on Doncaster if the reconstruction attempt failed? Maybe I've simply missed it, but I cant recall seeing it .
  13. Should that not be "thud'? It appears her club are in the shit(once more), and the only way out is to screw about with league numbers. As for the offer of £2million split between 42 clubs? Really? Be honest Ms Budge, this whole episode of supposed philanthropy is for one thing and one thing only. If your club had been 11th ,you would have kept schtum.
  14. I get what you're saying and that is why U20 players may be de rigueur for some clubs for quite a while. I was looking more at full time pros with clubs such as Partick, QotS, ICT etc. Part time players not so much. And if it comes to cutting wages or the club going bust?
  15. It could be some clubs may have to rely on U20 players for quite a while. Experienced players outside the SPL may have to lower their financial expectations in order to have a job.
  16. If you travel along the Moray coast you'll find infestations there too. Buses leaving for Glasgows blue side every week. As for the best ground, it has to be Furfar.
  17. On you go. Health benefits from a killer virus? Let the science guys come up with some answers on antibody testing first. As for Toby Young? I wouldn't want that c*nt as a foreskin.
  18. It has no credibility anyway. It's a great way of keeping an argument going though. Which is paramount with football supporters.
  19. Same can be said for many players. Goodwillie scored a blinder of a goal at Balmoor, then had an early bath. Second game has was anonymous. So for me, he wouldn't be in TOTY. Clyde supporters are the only ones who see him on a regular, or semi regular basis. It's natural they're going to pick him. Same with the likes of McManus, Lyons and players from other clubs. This kind of TOTY is completely pointless.
  20. Yes, but only one relegation from the Highland League. It's a joke and it's purely to save Hearts. That would appear to be the case. It's quite typical of Scottish football that Ann Budge is in charge of reconstruction. Who else would have such an unbiased view as the owner/ chairperson of the club with most to lose?
  21. I wouldn't worry too much about returning to watch a game. If this situation goes on for a year or more there will not be much to watch. This is the biggest crisis to ever hit football in peacetime, and if football in general doesnt get its collective shit together, there will be nothing left worth watching. Time to see if the game can be saved, not indulge in a reconstruction to save 3 or 4 clubs from relegation, which is the classic mindset.
