Quick Question Thread

You dont need to have an arranged overdraft to go into 'minus'. Overlapping transactions can cause this, it happened to me with one of my accounts when buying rail fares. I had forgotten my other card so took a risk and it was 70p overdrawn or something similar.

I received a bill from the bank of Scotland but I went into the branch and as it was my only time being overdrawn they argreed to scrap any charges. I'm sure your bank will let you off with one.

Already posted this in the e-chat forum but got no answer.

Every now and again my view of the forum changes to a list rather than a board. Does that make sense? Any ideas as to why and what I do to rectify it. It just appears to happen randomly and I have to shut down and restart computer to get it back to normal. Sometimes it logs me out too.

I finally received a college interview letter today. It says "Please bring all relevant certificates and documentation with you at this time."

It doesn't specify what documentations. I would assume the SQA Qualifications sheet. What else?

Take your birth certificate, just in case you need it as proof of your date and place of birth. Other than that, I can't think of anything else you might need.

Take your passport and a recent (within 3 months) bank statement as proof of address. Remember to take any certificates of recent courses / qualifications (SVQ's, First Aid, Broo back-to-work / training courses etc.) and yourself.

Don't forget to justify why you're wanting into their course and you'll be fine.

I'm sure I took my passport, birth certificate and a letter form with proof of my address and name.

Noted. Thank you.

When I go to New York, I'll still only be 20, but the drinking age is 21. Could I just convince them the date on my drivers license is in their format, ie MM-DD-YYYY, making me over 21?

No.

Even Americans aren't that stupid.

Depends, if you use a driver's license then it's probably different from the american one. Providing that your birthday adapts to it, I've got the 16th of September so that wouldn't work, then it's worth a shot.

On my drivers license it says 03-10-1990. Surely can be mistaken for the 10th of March?
