Raithie
This witty banter is all very well but have we sold anyone yet? Check the official site.
grumswall
In fairness, when has that been on the ball with anything in recent times.

mojito
Hearts in for Callachan. From the update it appears we aren't allowing ourselves to be fucked in the ass, which is a welcome change.

Broken Algorithms
Bit of a nightmare if Callachan goes. With that said, if the worst comes to the worst we could maybe look to sign Herron?
Toddy
At least this time the club seem to be making sure we get a decent amount for a player instead of just saying we can't stand in his way and pushing him out the door
Michael W
Glad to see that the old "cannae stand in his way, eh" attitude has been launched into the fucking sea alongside a certain hapless double act from last season. Unless we're being offered a ridiculously good fee (or player) we should turn it down. We will lose Callachan for free at the season's end (though will get some sort of development fee, I guess) but the main objective this season is to get promoted and to do that we need to keep hold of our best players. Promotion is likely worth more than whatever transfer fee are likely to receive.
Hank Scorpio
I'm sure Callachan is 24 very soon, so I don't think we'd be due any development fee next season.
steakngravy
Who are they trying to offload on us, tell them tae GTF. We need all our good players not somebodies cast offs. As Mr Sim said we need to develop our own good players not for anyone else but for us.

Enigma
With all due respect there's no way Callahan is good enough for Hearts, or any other 'top 6' side. He'll sign a two year deal, play less than 10 games before signing for the Pars or Livi.
Dazzle
If it's a decent bit of cash I'd take it tbh. Matthews is a more than adequate replacement who I still think should be starting anyway, we should be able to get a decent back up on loan with the wages saved from Callachan and it would be some much needed cash into the coffers, only downside would be if we couldn't get someone in on time to replace him. I realise this will be an unpopular opinion and I appreciate that we don't want to be losing anyone with such a small squad but I've seen enough long range woeful attempts to last a lifetime and I'm not convinced this would be the end of the world. -
Scottydog
I'd rather we didn't lose him too, it is the lesser of the evils though as I feel the loss of Lewis or Bene would be more keenly felt. As said It is the chance for Mattew to shine and maybe to bring in someone else as cover.
renton
Guessing that's our old pal Locke's efforts involved here. Fucking us over one more time. I reckon he will go, but we need to cover ourselves for a replacement - somehow. I think Matthews is a very decent player but outside of him and Robertson? We'd be struggling.

Apparently we're being offered a player plus cash deal. No doubt a player that even Locke wouldn't have contemplated bringing to us, right enough...

Even if we do get a decent fee, and I'm not convinced we will, we're weakening our already small and limited squad. What benefit do we get from doing this? Callachan was part of a squad that didn't perform last season and led to our relegation...he should do the honourable thing and stick with us. If this goes ahead and we don't bring in any replacement then we're left with Matthews Nd Robertson as actual midfielders. Davo cant play there anymore, Murray has clearly been signed as a defender and that only leaves young Berry who's had any first team experience. I've been a critic of Callachan but only because I think he's a talented player who sometimes just needs to do the simple things move and forget about the 60 yard paces and 30 yard shots. If this goes through the team will be weaker without any question.
