The New Raith Rovers Thread

Recommended Posts

Would just like to thank the Raith TV team for their fantastic efforts - especially in the dark lockdown days where we were locked out the stadiums. Helped to bring us all together and provide a quality service that allowed us to watch the team and game we love.

They are a real credit to the club.

This is gut wrenching seeing this all unfold.

What the actual f**k have we done to our club.

You could also ask that very same question to the media and every non Raith fan on this area of the forum, tbf…….

If there should have been an outrage before why should Raith fans have been exempt?  They’re understandably raging now but were as complicit as the rest of Scottish football in Goodwillie being able to ply his trade at Clyde for 5 years.

It would be great if (the minority of) folk could stop acting like there was no outcry when Goodwillie joined Clyde. The Chairman had to defend the signing, the signing was publicly criticised by John Mason MSPJamie Greene MSP and numerous others, some fans called for a boycott and the story was picked up by national press with Rape Crisis Scotland slamming the move as well.

Just because you never heard any outcry about the signing back in 2017 doesn't mean that there wasn't any.

I stand corrected. Please accept my apology .

The amount of people that have resigned their posts at the Rovers in the last two days must be longer than old Rangers debtors list.

Starting XI for Saturday will see Sims playing number 10 and McGlynn in goals at this rate.

The point I was making is it’s abundantly clear and understandable why Raith fans are upset.
However if we are about to castigate the FM for showing sudden moral outrage is it any different from the reaction of the rest of us?…

This seems a bit disingenuous. Its not as if fans of other clubs can have a direct influence in the signings that another club makes. They can voice their displeasure, post it on social media and make the offending club aware of their errors of their ways.

We'll have first team players. Just no one to open up the ground to let them in is all.
