Corr being in a boot is likely a contact injury, not related to the surface. I think its very much a fallacy and a lot of confirmation bias that artificial surfaces cause more injuries or that grass pitches are superior.

Multiple studies have confirmed there's no increase in likelihood or severity of injuries.

Injuries again, and again, and again.

IS IT our artificial surface?  because we are on it all the time?

There's no link between injuries and artificial surfaces as others have said.  We've just got rotten luck with injuries. Some players are just more injury prone and there's nothing you can do about it - it's simply genetics. Others are down to misfortune (Brown) or circumstances (Connolly playing through the end of last season).

People look for an easy thing to point to as a solution. I feel for Blair Doughty as he must find it infuriating - there'll be various technical factors at hand but people will look at it and try to simplify it.

Very good point in the circumstances. We don’t know how good Thistle will turn out to be but I had them down as the best of the rest behind Dundee United so happy with a point away from home with the players we have out.

Obviously lessons to be learned but we have the players in the building to help fix some of those issues with a couple more still to come in. Just need to get everyone fit.

Delighted for Ethan Ross and Kieran Mitchell. Easy to forget how good Ross can be when fully fit and on form, we’ve just not seen it for so long.

Finally, from behind we came back 5 times in 23 attempts last season, the last one being the last game of the season (in a 2-2 draw with Thistle funnily enough). We have already come from behind 4 times from 4 attempts this season. Enough to suggest there is a bit more character about this years team. Obviously, we need to actually stop going behind every game but it’s nice to feel the game isn’t gone as soon as we lose the first goal.

Mitchell, eh? Yea, them folks pushing to play young…aww, never mind.

RaithTV seemed to think Corr’s injury wasn’t “serious”.

Ex-player around the league, Mahady helps Bonnyrigg draw with Young’s Sons, Coulson sees a little time with Alloa and McNeil starts again for Edinburgh City (loses (free kick into the top left corner), but seems to get lots of action).

Quite surprised he got a deal with a senior club given he never really seemed to get a look on loan. Maybe he's had a 'penny's dropped' moment leaving us. Noticed Connor McBride is away off to Gateshead.

For what it's worth, I noticed Ross Millen was out warming up with the squad before the game today, knocking some balls around and doing a couple of sprints. Hopefully bodes well for him being back reasonably soon.

Ultimately, I think that late flurry does hide a real frustration that for 85 minutes, very little had changed.

After publicly saying he knew why the injury situation was bad last season, there's a massive amount of expectation on Murray to fix it - our season depends on it.

Delighted to draw and the character shown to do so, but we won't get away with that much more.

We desperately need a holding midfielder if we are too have any chance of this formation being successful. We also need to sort out the full back situation.

Great to see Ross come on and be so effective and well done to Mitchell getting that goal he has been after for so long.

Let’s note a few things:

1) Ross, finally got a proper diagnosis of his long-term issue last year and had surgery. Now is finally returning 100%. Cause…not Rovers, long-term issue.

2) Gullan, finally got a proper diagnosis of his long-term issue last year and had surgery. Came back and looked good. Ankle injury in game. Cause…not Rovers, playing injury

3) Vaughan, multiple knees done, on a variety of surfaces, some repairs possibly of lower than necessary standard. Cause…not Rovers in general, can be question if the Rover chose the wrong specialist though.

4) Millen, thigh issue in practice. Cause…possibly Rovers, but occurred off return to practice.

5) Brown, torn calf muscle in practice. Cause…possibly Rivers, but occurred off return to practice.

6) Connolly, damaged ankle from game and then hiding it/playing through it. Cause…not Rovers, player self-inflicted.

7] Matthews, foot issues related to previous issues/surgery. Cause… not Rovers, playing injury

We’ve also had Corr, Stanton, Smith and Hamilton miss here and there for injuries picked up in games or practice. However, the big seven above show just two that might be attributable to the Rovers in some convoluted way, and two related to the return to practice. I don’t see an easy “cause” here.

4 out of that 7, could quite possibly be down to the previous management

That's well and good,  but when the manager publicly acknowledges it - there's expectation to fix it.

That doesn't explain why we haven't recruited for areas of the park where we lack depth also.

However it's spun, going into the season unable to fill a bench, with volume of players we have, is not good enough.  It can only be bad luck for so long.

I'd also say that if we are shoe Horning attacking players in there respective positions, and really struggling as a result, it doesn't say much for the prospects of Arnott and Masson.

There were absolutely fucking massive warning signs today that really need to be heeded.  As a minimum we need a right back and holding midfielder on that pitch ASAP.  The reaction today was great, and did represent a step change of sorts in terms of how we turned around the game- but the squad of players out there today wont get us top 4, so getting injured players back or new players in is of crucial importance.

For those at the game, how did Vaughan play?

I might be in the minority here but I don't know how effective he is in the system with the other personnel we have. I'm as big a fan as anyone but its almost like hes trying too hard at times. when BrownMatthews return someone has to drop out.

He's trying really hard, but I personally think he's a fair bit off it.  Getting a bit greedy and at times it's harming us.

I don't think he could have huge amount of complaints if he makes way.  He's not been terrible or anything tho.
