The guy's getting some flak upthread but Haggs is a known blackspot - it's where loads of folk got stuck overnight in 2010, folk got stuck there last winter (I posted about the guy sitting in his minibus telling his wife outside at the back to push harder ) and at the first snow we got back in December it got shut again. There's a good argument for more gritting at that one-mile section.

RandomGuy.
Surely a popcorn box isn't the greatest thing for holding fluids?

It was a candy floss plastic tub and I had held the pish in for what felt like 3 hours. It was millimetres from overflowing. I poured it out the side of the car which melted all the snow around the back wheel.

If so, you should be onto Traffic Scotland and get Humza to recommend that as the course of action for tomorrow’s strandees.
G-MAN
Still snawing in Soap Dodge City. Just been in garden and snow now up to my knees (and no I’m not a dwarf). Not seen any cars on Gt West Rd for a while looks like folk have finally taken notice of warnings (8 hours too late)
