bennett
Insurance company fails to stump up. A woman who cut off her own hand with a circular saw in the hope of getting a €1m (£925,000) insurance payout has been sentenced to two years in prison. Julija Adlesic, 22, from Slovenia, plotted with her boyfriend to have her left hand severed above the wrist at their home in the capital Ljubljana early last year. Adlesic was found guilty of attempted insurance fraud by a court in the city.

You could give me 9 billion, I couldn't do it, certainly not with a circular saw. Thank you. -

Instead of two years in jail they were just going to give her a slap on the wrist but alas....

tamthebam
Anyone remember there was a similar sort of case in Scotland a few years back. A druggie claimed she'd been kidnapped and thrown out of a car on the M8 in Glasgow and lost an arm as a result and was looking for criminal injuries money but IIRC it was a scam by her and her druggie boyfriend.

Nothing major and talked myself back to 3 nights rather than 5. I think with the latter I'd just end up getting splattered and ruining the whole thing. 3 nights gives me just enough time to see what I want to, with enough time to explore. Months away but I'm pretty excited already. Where you heading off to? Nothing beats cutting about some random place on your own, it's the best.

Probably would have even hated being in a pub by myself. Now I should be overjoyed to go exploring somewhere abroad on my own and being in the pub alone is to achieve Nirvana.

Valletta. Day in Gozo, too. Been somewhere I've wanted to go for a while but always end up going other places as I'm a massive shitehouse and give in to where other folk wanted to go.

Dunno, I went to Belfast and Rome when I was 18 and Toronto when I was 21. I guess everyone gets to a stage in their life when they think I want to do something just for me.
