NotThePars
They've got away with it for a century, right enough. Only because the pedants of P&B haven’t fixed their Gorgon stare upon it

tamthebam
I'm not particularly familiar with the Doonhammer dialect but maybe their fans call them "Queen offae South" so QOS is perfectly acceptable. -

Shandon Par
A bit late to the party maybe but we were taught at school not to use the T of The in acronyms. Seems to be the norm now to include the T of the whereas Queens' use of it in the seats in that pic above would have been the accepted norm in days gone by. Don't think it's a case of being right or wrong, just a development/blending of acronyms and initialisations, maybe reflecting the digital age and all increasing need to abbreviate. Not including it always seemed a bit pointless anyway. Edited October 23, 2020 by Shandön Par

tamthebam
Maybe they should be referred as Club Utilising No T Solution.

19QOS19
Irrelevant unfortunately. It's relevant because the club regards themselves as QoS/QOS and not QotS. The same way Middlesbrough regard themselves as Boro

Bully Wee Villa
8 hours ago, 19QOS19 said: Not it isn't. We aren't talking about pronouncing it correctly as dictated by English. We are known as QoS not QotS. Our badge is "QoS" and even the website is "QoS". There could be a really, really tiny "t" on the badge, but covered up by the "S".
