ka202
I was absolutely gutted when McCall left us. The football and the experience of that half season (to be fair it did continue after he'd gone pretty much) was fantastic and probably the best of my time supporting Falkirk, tinged with devastation at the loss of Brockville and denial of promotion, an absolute roller coaster of a season. At the time I'd have loved to have kicked the utter shit out of him, but time passes and when you look at it objectively of course any sane person isn't going to turn down the offer he got. It's a job, not a vocation, and he went after the dollar and security for him and his family. 99% of people would have done the same. So, that all said - COME HOME JOBBY!If he had just went then fine, absolutely no problem what so ever. Obviously DU at the time were miles ahead of falkirk, in league and financially. Does anyone remember when he said ‘loyalty is one of my mantras’? Then he fucked off the next day. He Took all the background team with him. Thomson the DU chairman then voted to stop falkirk ground sharing to enter the spl so DU could take falkirks best players?

That being said he was a great manager for falkirk with some great attacking play. I wouldn’t mind him being the new falkirk manager, but I just don’t get the fans who are screaming for him.
ka202
I quite like Ayr too, the pubs round the ground are a good laugh before match days, all the fans mixing together, I like the stadium as it reminds me of brockville, this would sour the relationship.

Not a dig, just wondering who your number one choice is?

Would hate for there to be a damper on relations. Don't mind Falkirk (Ps build a fourth stand)

EdiBairn
Seems like that's McCall and McIntyre now turned us down. Maybe they were told they had to work with the current players and ran a mile at the prospect. I have a really nasty feeling we're going to end up with Lee Clark or Jim Duffy.
