Yes, he rather under sells it.

Also, 'an annoying dude'. Not exactly how I'd describe someone who is evidently on the autistic spectrum.  His mother has openly admitted although he was never tested, he displays all the same traits as his father who suffered from Asperger's. Honnold himself admits he should have been diagnosed as a youngster.

I can see how he can be a bit annoying.

As someone who's in to climbing, I'm maybe just blinkered as I think the guy is fascinating.

Definitely but there are times where it seems like he won't consider his girlfriend's feelings on matters, even if that isn't true.

He's appears completely emotionless, something he evidently attributes to Asperger's.

More a recommendation, Knives out is on Amazon prime which is a nice wee watch.

Excellent, thanks for that. Fire alarm went off 45 minutes in when I saw this at silverburn and it was going to be an hour before it started back, so we went home.

Ya fanny- that was a plot twist in the film and all cinemas had to follow the ‘fire alarm’ bit.

Destroyer (1943)

WWII flag-waver starring Edward G Robinson as Steve "boley" Boleslavski, a retired US Navy officer now working in shipyards.

On hearing that his old battleship, the John Paul Jones has been sunk by the Japanese, a new one is commissioned, built & Boley pleads to serve in the Navy again.

Desperate to prove himself, he is back on board where he starts annoying the young crew with his over enthusiasm & old school ways.

Glenn Ford & Edward G clash as they compete for each other's Navy rank & also Boley's daughter.

A great movie, it may well leave you with a tear in your eye.

9/10

Roman Holiday

Been meaning to watch some old classics and this seemed the light hearted thing I needed last night. Some creepiness by today's standards, but what a film otherwise! Not really much to say specifically, it just has that feel and quality that bona fide classics have. Some really rough editing loses a couple of marks, and I hate rating them anyway, but 8/10.

Daniel Craig’s accent is Knives Out is dreadful. Other than that is a great watch. 9/10

The wife (from Arizona) just watched that and said she was quite impressed by his accent.

However, that could just mean that she was expecting it to be the worst accent of all time, and it was only the second worst (after Dick Van Dyke).

Alpha: The Right to Kill

A propaganda piece backing the Duterte war on drugs in the Philiphines. You can almost feel the boot on the director's neck as he films the documentary style film about a raid on a drug baron where money goes missing. It's well shot but left a foul taste in my mouth.

4/10

Out Of Sight (1998)

I've been revisiting a lot films of recently - particularly stuff from the 80s and 90s and was pleased to see this pop up on Netflix again. At the time of release lots was made of the chemistry between Clooney and Lopez and tbh along with Soderbergh's whole visual style they make it an incredibly watchable.

It's just a great film.

9/10

If I haven't said so before, and I probably have, I'll say it again - I really like the film Office Space.

Aye it's decent. Have you seen Extract made by the same director, set in a flavour extract bottling plant with Jason Bateman? That's enjoyable also.
