JogaBonito
Random movie on Netflix, settled for Chef. Jon Favreau writes and direct this uplifting movie about a burnt out Chef, who gets a terrible review which becomes viral for not particular good reasons. He leaves his old job, goes mopey for a bit. Travels to Miami with his ex-wife, finds his joo-joo and starts a new life as a food-truck cook. This also re-kindles his relationship with his son when it was looking disastrous after Jon lost his job. Feel good film. Jon obviously has lots of celebrity friends helping out with the odd cameo role, Scarlett Johannsen, RD Jr, Dustin Hoffman to name a few. 6.5/10
19QOS19
Beauty and the beast Never seen this before but watched it with my daughter this evening. Not one of disneys better efforts in my opinion.....my daughter thoroughly enjoyed it tho 6/10 One of the greats IMO. Probably my second favourite after The Lion King. I'm guessing my opinion would be different if I was to watch it for the first time now though. The new generation have been spoiled by Pixar

19QOS19
Yeah Aladdin is great as well. I grew up repeatedly watching The Lion King, Peter Pan, Snow White, Beauty and The Beast, The Jungle Book, Aladdin, The Aristocats and to a point Pinocchio. There were obviously others I watched; The Sword in The Stone, The Black Cauldron Lady and The Tramp et al (pretty much all the cartoons) but the ones in the first paragraph are the ones I watched so much that I can still quote it in large chunks to this day Pixar have been a revelation for Disney and have produced some crackers (Toy Story easily goes into my top 5 animation flims) but I loved the older ones and still enjoy watching them even now Long live Disney

19QOS19
You missed out Robin Hood! My favourite Disney film followed by Peter Pan. I missed loads, that's why I put "et al" I never mentioned the likes of 101 Dalmations, Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella or Dumbo either It'd take a whole page to list all the Disney features
killiepiemuncher
Inside Out 8/10 Watched this Pixar pre screening at the local odeon last night. Very good film enjoyed it but for some reason it made my eyes water too much. I must be some kind of emotional wuss.
maicoman
RUSH - Another excellent motorsport film! The actor that played Hunt was an excellent resemblance. Why had James Hunt's Hesketh's car have the Scotland flag on it does anyone know? Edited June 23, 2015 by maicoman

11thHour
No Country For Old Men. I cant really score this film I dont think. I was really engrossed in a lot of the scenes but at other times I was slightly baffled so I cant really say if I liked it or not. Loved some of the performances but the movie as a whole? I cant honestly say.
19QOS19
Once upon a time in the west - 7/10 Yeah it was good, westerns have never really been my cup of tea so to speak but this was pretty good. Glad i did watch it though as my dad fairly rates it. 22 films left to go. Have you watched "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" yet?

callum-ayr
Takers 7/10 Film with the late Paul Walker. Good film with a decent action storyline, group that do bank heists are talked into doing one last big one and are eventually double crossed. Just a shame Chris Brown is in it.
ScotlandGer
An Alternative Reality - 6 / 10 It's a documentary about Football Manager. It talks to the creators, famous fans, scouts etc. and it's fascinating to get to grips with the scale of the database they build for the game, but also to hear the stories of the people who enjoy the game, as there are stories of late-night nail-biting anxiety, and distractions when away from the game, and the highs and despair, depending on outcomes of games, that we all mind from our own FM saves. Next Goal Wins 7 / 10 American Samoa were the worst football team in international football. They were pretty rubbish, getting doings from their Pacific island peers. To be fair, a lot of their young players would enrol and then leave for the American Military, depriving them of a lot of talent. The film charts their development as they appoint a Dutch coach and embark of World Cup qualifying to try to improve their standing. It's surprising the extent to which you begin to support them and there are some memorable characters which you really warm towards.
Mark Connolly
Paddington. Was fairly enjoyable, and the nieces were fully focused on it, meaning they didn't talk through the entire film like they usually do. 8/10
We Are Pars Fans!
22 Jump Street - Hilarious, thought was much better than first film, really enjoyed it. Sex Tape - few funny moments but overall quite poor.

You must have pretty high standards for your scores (or I have low ones) Next Goal Win is easily a 9 or a 10 for me. One of the best documentaries I've ever seen.
