pleslie99
Well the semi finals are completed. The P&B Cedric Kipre's Xmas quiz has it's finalists.Alang1993 (7+9) v Cowden0 (6+6)This was always going to be a high scoring tight affair. Alang1993 Mr consistency in league and cup, up against Cowden0 the highest scorer in each round so far and the odds on favourite with the bookies. Alang1993 took a slender lead into half time. Cowden0 came out fighting in the 2nd half but left the back door wide open for Alang1993 to smash home an impressive 9 in the 2nd half to be the 1st man into the final.SlipperyP (2+5) v Kincardine (5+7)The 2nd semi final was a 1 sided affair. SlipperyP not celebrating Christmas put him at a massive disadvantage against the ever reliable and solid Kincardine. A valiant effort none the less from SlipperyP but the semis proved a step too far as kincardine goes through to the final. So the final is between Alang1993 and Kincardine. Now becomes a problem. My wife is going in to be induced on Saturday (hence the lack of quizzing action from me this week) which puts a bit of a hole in my plans for the final. I was going to set 20 non multiple choice questions but I don't think I'm going to have time this weekend to do such things. Would @cardinal Richelieu or@tynieness maybe step up and set the final for me?

Surely you'll have time when you're smoking your pipe in the hospital car park and letting the womenfolk get on with things? Lame excuse imo. The DA
http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/mind-games/quiz?quizId=8473§ionId=1 Too many Aussie questions and too many 2017 questions. And too many sports questions. 4 for Friday.
Bully Wee Villa
Three. Honestly, you'd think the quiz was designed to be taken by Australians.
welshbairn
Conned myself into thinking I was doing quite well. 3/10. Knew 2 and got one of the sport ones because part of the name is about the only one I've heard of. NJ2
After giving the lads a couple of days off (I think, I’ve no idea of days anymore just light and dark) we had a run out today. A rusty 4/10.

Would @cardinal Richelieu or@tynieness maybe step up and set the final for me? All the best for tomorrow, buddy. You'll love being a dad. Hard lines to @SlipperyP even if you predicted it. Still, a narrow loss to me is maybe more dignified than facing the quizzing colossus that is AlaNg. Now, in the absence of replies from Tiny and Cardi, I'll fling together some questions myself. I started already: 1. High Wycombe is known for its cultural diversity. What am I cooking for dinner? 2. Volkswagen faced controversy for 'fixing' the emissions output figures for its diesel engines. . What mileage had my Golf done at its last service? 3. In the recent Star Wars film, The Last Jedi, the late Carrie Fisher reprises her famous Princess Leia role for the last time. What did my son and I eat before we went to the pictures last night? 4. There were over half a million people aged 90 and over living in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2014. What's my mother's date of birth? I'll get the next 16 done and post them on Sunday. Any volunteers for refereeing and posting the results?
Cardinal Richelieu
Happy for Kincardine to organise the cup final if he continues with that calibre of questioning.
