From the stories I hear from various (male and female) pals I can’t help but think I hit it at just the right time. Maybe also being late-30s at the time was also a bit of a purple patch - probably at the apex point of me being interesting/ solvent/ handsome/ fit/enthusiastic/ naive/cynical / * top shagger. I got done a belter once by a lassie using pictures that were easily 2/3 years prior. Nah, I think there's an expectation that people are in relationship "you found someone yet" etc. But I've got the kids, the mutt and to be honest it's a strain in my mental health. I find social connections very difficult, nature of BPD. Maybe I'll change once girls are teenagers but I also don't want a trail of partners through their life either.
