"Who did you vote for in the election  Dave?"

This is nit-picking of the highest order. The vast majority of people, when voting in an election, look at the party and not the candidate.

He knows this. He's at it.

Westminster does not elect parties and both the FM and the PM are appointed by the monarch.

Now tell me which part of that statement is wrong.

People vote for parties.

Amirite?

Who is this Westminster and what does he look like?

Elmar Brok MEP refuting claims Scotland would have to join the back of a (fictitious) queue to join the EU and that negotiations for an independent Scotland joining the EU would be "easy".

Well, that's that argument sorted, then.

The Yes side need to nail an economic argument, especially when it comes to currency. This is what let them down the last time.

Wrong.

Unless you disagree with Dave and Stevie?

There is no voting for political parties in Westminster elections whatever 'Dave' or 'Steve' say.  This should hardly be new news.

Most people don't even know the candidates' names, so just plant their X by the party logo. That means they're voting for political parties.

Well it simply doesn't.

Does too.

The use of language and words defines the meaning of those words.

"Who did you vote for?"

"I voted for the Monster Raving Loony party".

Everyone toddles off knowing that our hero voted "for" the Monster Raving Loony party, even if there was no option for that on the ballot paper.

Next day the papers be like...

BIG STEVIE VOTES FOR MONSTER RAVING LOONY PARTY....

MONSTER RAVING LOONY PARTY ARE ELECTED AS NEW UK GOVERNMENT....

VOTERS ELECT DAVIE THE NUTTER, LEADER OF THE MONSTER RAVING LOONY PARTY AS NEW PM....

Everyone accepts this as the truth.

Exceot for this one guy who turns to his teddy bear and sniffs, "You know, none of this actually happened"....

Even the teddy bear is not convinced by him, though..
