Mark Connolly
I love all the shit he's trying to pull to affect the election. Would not be surprised if he announced a local Covid-related lockdown for Election Day in every state that he might lose.
BillyAnchor
it was like when the Supreme Court gave Bush the presidency which was the worst outrage in history until the SFA relegated us anyway.

Detournement
Even if he gets pardoned Snowden would be insane to go back to America.
Utter Roaster
Shame about TrumptyDumpty's brother. His 'best friend' apparently. Would have loved to have been at his bedside, but do you realise how difficult it is to get a tee-time before 3 o'clock?

Sugar_Army
I see NZ are going to delay their election by a month due to latest outbreak. How long before Trump uses that to push his own agenda?

Considering the Republican Party has already said no to delaying the election, you've got to wonder how bad he'd have to let the pandemic get before they'd go along with it. Sorry, I meant, "how bad the pandemic that's completely outwith his control would have to get".

Sorry, I meant, "how bad the pandemic that's completely outwith his control would have to get". The Republican strategy at this point is surely: Make voting as difficult as possible Have an inconclusive outcome Let it escalate to the Supreme Court Have the stacked psycho Republican bodies give the election to Donnie ??? Profit??? If the courts give it to Trump then historical precedent (2000) shows the Dems will prioritise the kayfabe of living in a functioning democracy to pointing out the clear corruption endemic in the system. Or maybe they're hoping the same losers that lost it for Hilldog in 2016 will use Kamala's nomination for VP to weasel their way back in and have Biden dabbing on a Zoom call with Ellen.

The Republican Party is eating itself.Just wait til Hispanics become the country's largest minority group. This is a classic example of the Republican party's short termism and chicanery. They have made no effort to win that group over, sacrificing them to galvanise their base by decrying Mecians as murderers, rapists etc. So instead they try and make it harder for them to vote, as they have been trying to achieve with inner city black voters for decades. As you say, there seems to be no way back for them. They have bathed in the kool aid and long term dominance is within the grasp of the Democrats if they can get their own house in order. Changing demographics in states like Texas are proof of that - if that becomes a blue state, then the game is bogey for the GOP. However, if Trump wins again, it'll galvanise the nutters and all bets are off with regards to the damage he will do to the already shaky foundations of US democracy.
