buchan30
Turning point. The bomb and the cold war. Scary to think that if any of the politicians had decided that they were pushing that button, we would all be knackered. I done history at school for standard grade, and i hated it, but i seem to have a bigger interest in it now.

Entitled, arrogant arseholes. 7 hours ago, fuzzydunlop said: Watched this last night. 100% agree. First of all, absolutely glorious watching that penalty shoot out again with all the different perspectives and reactions...but its made 100 times better now you realise that absolute carnage that had happened before the game. Just mental they put all that expectation on a 19 year old. I had thought it had been a load of folk rushing the turnstiles at kick off. Which was bad enough. However I hadn't been aware there was so much aggro leading upto kick off so makes the result even better. Just finished it. It won't surprise anyone who hasn't watched it, to learn that England "fans" are absolute fucking scumbags as well as racist cretins. The Italian boy must have been shitting himself with his daughter and fair play to him for being so upbeat after such an ordeal. The two England fannies probably thought they've come out looking ok but I thought they were a pair of twats. The tattooed goon blaming Covid for behaving like a fucking animal and the Jimmy Bullard wannabe sharing a heartwarming story about how his dad went on the roof of a pub in '96 which makes his antics on top of the bus that bit more special. Fannies. How no one was crushed was pretty incredible. For me I wouldn't let England be allowed to host a major event like that again. The security guy got it spot on about the fuds outside the ground throughout the game: they're not fans. Your first major final since 1960 something and you're spending it standing in front of a row of coppers? Complete muppets. Glorious seeing them losing again. Disappointed not to see the Chiellini pull back again though.

Guest
Watching attack on Wembley, Engerland really are just the OF of international football, absolute scumbags galore. ETA why weren't more people charged and handed football banning orders with the amount of CCTV available Edited May 22 by Empty It
Arch Stanton
The Queen's Gambit. Loved it, To make such a riveting 7 part drama given the subject matter is testament to the acting, screenwriting and direction.
Fuctifano
Just watched the Wembley thing. Amazing no one died really. Certainly a few candidates in the clips who wouldn't have been a loss.
Charnwood
I was talking to a lad at work today about the Wembley documentary. He had tickets and was there with his 8 year old. He said the documentary wasn't representative of the actual day. It was 10 times as bad. Pre match, Wembley way was basically a floor of brocken glass, with people smashing shop and hotel windows. There were groups of lads hanging about outside the turnstiles waiting for people to show their tickets, mugged them and used the ticket to rush the turnstiles as a group. During the game he couldn't get down to the toilets because the concourses were packed full of people watching the game on the tvs as there was no more room in the stands. Loads of fights in the stands because people sat in any seat they could get and told ticket holders to gtf.
ScotiaNostra
I keep thinking I must watch the Wembley show then I read some comments on here and it puts me off as I think I will just end up raging at all these horrible people. After the fans getting on the pitches at weekend. Wenbley seems to be very poorly organised. Edited June 4 by ScotiaNostra
throbber
Watched the first episode of the gentlemen last night which is directed by Guy Ritchie. It’s very much like snatch etc and pretty funny with a few very slick characters and some absolute nutters to balance it out.

Flybhoy
Just watched the documentary about Jlloyd Samuel, whilst it's obviously tragic a young father dying in his early 30's, as an individual he came across as typical of the post millennium football player, too much money for far few brain cells, he basically gambled, drank and shagged it all away with a 'wife' in Dubai his wife in the UK knew hee haw about, notice little mention of him being double the drink drive limit at the time of his fatal crash, a crash that happened at 9am after dropping his children at school, anyone driving their kids in a car whilst still pissed from the night before is a complete moron. One final point, his widow (UK version) welling up in front of the camera telling how they had to struggle by on just 15k a week when he was at Bolton and, after all his gambling they struggled to keep up the finance on their luxury cars and the electricity and upkeep of their swimming pool which cost nearly 2 grand a month in maintenance and running costs.....!! Does she not have a semblance of perspective and self awareness? Fucking self entitled idiot.
throbber
I watched the Wembley documentary. I can’t remember hearing much about troubles at the match at the time except for a few clips on Twitter. Can’t believe how bad it all was compared to how it was reported and there was clearly a bit of sweeping going on as they are still hoping to host a major tournament in the not so distant future. The news stories at the time were about the match itself and then the online abuse dished out to the black players and the vandalism on the Rashford mural rather than the danger to human life that was present around the stadium. You see how awful herd mentality is when there’s all day drinking going on and the fact so many were absolutely arseholed 8 hours before kick off is horrendous to try and control. I didn’t find the bus dancing jay from inbetweeners/ Jason Cummings love child particularly intimidating for example but you could see how carried away he was getting and the hassle he was causing to other people despite himself not knowing he was doing any harm.
Granny Danger
Don’t visit this sub-forum very often so this has probably been discussed before. Just started watching something called Loudermilk. It’s funny as f**k.

The episode with the boxing match had me in stitches.
Savage Henry
Watched the first episode of Eric. I have absolutely no idea where it’s heading and I think it’s great. Extra marks for having Rodriguez on the soundtrack.
