So it can be anyone of Charlie Albinson, Derren Fairns, Frankie Musonda, Paddy Reading, Nathan McGinley, Andy Murdoch, Paul Smith, Carter Jenkins, Dario Viviani, Franny Amartey then you include loans

Reckon the ones in bold are definitely players who’ll be released. Mcgeady may well retire and Rose let go with maybe McGinty.

Have heard that 11 players will be released (including loans although obviously they aren't ours to release) this window. Of course there are a few obvious ones there like Albinson and a few youth players but not sure who the others could be. Thought that it was quite a large number but factoring in loans and players under contract such as Rose and McGeady who will probably be away it seems about right.

Would at least be a positive start to the window if we could get rid of most of the deadwood and allow Brown to get his own players in.

If this man does not get testimonial and carried around the pitch on the shoulders of his peers at full time what are we even doing as a club, his contribution to the club is beyond words.

Also unless im wrong here unless we’ve agreed PCA’s with any of the loans it would include all of them? If so that’s 6 loans and 5 others

I think Brown wants Logan , Clarke and Dowds . So it’ll be McGinlay , McHugh and Willoughby plus 7 . Who will include Albinson , Paddy , Frankie and Armarty perhaps . Plus some youths . If it’s ten out (7 first team pool) then it has to be at least 5 or 6 in …

I’ll go for Albinson, McGinty, McGinley, Smith, McHugh, Chalmers, Sanders, Dowds, Clarke, Amartey and Rose.

Then you’d hope we’d be able to bring the loan players back.

More excited about this than anything else that's happened this season.

The dream is to finish a season where almost the entire squad isn't deadwood that need fired into the sea. Seems the exact same as this time last season.

Good recruitment will mean we're looking to keep most of the squad or have them already tied up on deals with only 3 or 4 quality players coming in.

Spoiler

We need to sign guys that are good Championship players, that won’t really develop but will keep us in the fight, the thing that takes us to the next level is the players we bring in that will develop and we end up selling on.
We could give half of this shite away and the majority certainly wouldn’t move up a level.
We just don’t sign enough good Championship players.

Actually a good post . The Raith Rovers model isnt a bad one to follow with maybe another punt or so from the south .

If any of the 10 teams go into the season with two strikers who can get close to 20 each they’ll probably win the league .

Is McGinty not under contract?
Also I think there will be a few youth players included in that figure such as Jenkins and Viviani, absolutely no chance all of those players leave.

And that's where hopefully Browns profile gives us that slight advantage, we know we are not going to be blowing folk out the water with wages, we know folk would prefer a team a bit closer to Glasgow but come and play under one of the most decorated players in Scottish football history and a formar Scotland captain.

if you ask me it's likely just gonna be Clarke, Sanders, McHugh, Chalmers (think he'll be looking at all his options), Willoughby (with Dowds having hopefully signed a PCA), Albinson, Feirns McGinley, Smith, Jenkins and Viviani

Considering the club seem hell-bent on raising the profile of Bryden and everything that's come out about the lack of academy graduations I'd be surprised if they were going to continue down the road of the last few regimes and just release them. If anything the fear is that the manager is informed when he wants a new right back that he has his pick of them.

true but i feel of the youth players that are out of contract (Jenkins, Viviani and Feirns) only one of them i have any slight confidence of signing on next season is maybe Jenkins who did hold down his spot in a very poor Gretna team (thou he did miss a decent amount of games through injury), Viviani had to drop down a division and has been outed from Glenafton and now is a bench player for Troon, and Feirns has been in and out of a Dalry team and considering we already have Ollie the need of what would likely be a 4th choice keeper is not one we're needing, hopefully the likes of Watret, Tomlinson, Guthrie and McRoberts all have strong loans next season and develop

Truly remarkable to look at that and think "ah it's the last game, he's experimenting and not caring too much" before remembering that this is what Scott Brown considers to be his optimal XI.

Not that he's wrong.

8th as it stands. Which is about what this mob deserves.

f**k Callum for just staying we would have taken 8th at start of season due to it being a transitional year.
