Coronavirus and the Scottish Championship

Recommended Posts

Let's go backwards to make progress, regionalise the lower divisions giving more derbies, less travelling etc. Leagues of  say 10 or 12 giving  6 months of football, evening kick offs would attract decent crowds ?  Amazed both the English and Scots Prem divisions 'stuff you' attitude - do clubs really aspire to be part of the circus ?

There’s not a chance they will go for more than 14 in the Premiership imo. And rather than anoint ICT it should be a coin toss for the ‘play off’ spot.

14 splitting after  playing each other twice, then they play each other another twice. That makes 28 games. Then they all play in one big league cup group, twice, that's 16. That makes 38, the same as now.

SORTED!

Your numbers don't add up whatsoever.

Yes they do.

14 teams playing each other twice = 26 games, split into two halves of 7 and play each other twice = additional 12 games, so 38 altogether before that big league cup group, add that in with playing each other twice is again, another 26 games, 38+26 = 64 games.

The only way Dundee voted yes after speaking to Peter and Neil it's a done deal Dundee Fc will be in the top flight

Sorry guys forgot Killie vs Ayr so it makes it a great top flight list

It's not. Always about Celtic and Rangers

A 16-team league in a “play twice, split, play twice” format would solve the current issues around the split. Everyone would have the same number of home and away games each season, and everyone would play everyone else the same number of times in their own section.

The biggest issue is the extra 6 games that would bring about.
