Clearly a pre internet urban myth there... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Hanley I'd doubt Cliff would have let his son become a Tory MP!
sfha
Watched Jagged Edge last night and was surprised when I saw Michael Dorn's name in the closing credits. Unrecognisable as the assistant DA in the courtroom scenes.

BFTD
Rikki Fulton turning up in Gorky Park really took me by surprise when I first saw it too and, aye, he was surprisingly good. Did I hallucinate the whole thing, or does Basic Instinct 2 start off with Stan Collymore getting a gobble off Sharon Stone?

BFTD
Ainsley Harriott, known mainly for his popularity on Scottish football forums, was in an episode of Red Dwarf. Nightmare on Elm Street director Wes Craven learned his trade working on the sets of porn films, and would occasionally appear in on-screen roles. Brian Tildsley from Coronation Street was in Robocop 2.

When he didn't get it, he mentioned the part to his flat mate ... Mark Hamill

Mark Hamill Similarly, Jackie Earle Haley was up for a part in A Nightmare on Elm Street, and his mate tagged along to the audition so they could hang out afterwards. The casting director saw the friend, asked him to audition, and gave the role to him instead. Wonder what Johnny Depp's up to these days anyway? Quarter of a century later, Jackie Earle Haley would find himself cast in Robert Englund's old role in the Nightmare on Elm Street remake.
