Why do they call them mourners?

Some of them are simply curious.

What about the people who have visited Lenin's tomb?  Were they all mourning his death?

Probably the entire spectrum from Ludge types to downright nosy bazzas.

Wasn't Mao into Long Walks?

The event organisers claimed that 33,000 attended but the establishment put the number at closer to 75,000

I once went to Bob Marleys  mausoleum in Jamaica and the folk taking us round were off their tits on ganj, maybe the establishment counters for auld lizzies visitors had the same problem.

I visited Chairman Maos Mausoleum when in Beijing. Mostly out of morbid curiosity. ( My friend who is a history teacher with a specialism in communist history is keen to see all of the “frozen five”)

Just out of curiousity who are the Frozen Five?

Lenin and Mao you've named. Is it a couple of the Kims and someone else?

It's taken me almost a week, but I've just had a thought - I happen to know that D&G council were frantically scrabbling around looking for condolence books for Brenda's imminent departure, last Wednesday afternoon; when non-royal-watchers like myself didn't have the slightest scooby that it was about to happen. So how did they know? It can't be a coincidence surely.

One of the things that has struck me over the last few days is the lack of racial diversity in the crowds.

Look at London today. One of the world's most racially diverse cities yet there is scarcely a non-white face to be seen in those lining the route to Westminster Abbey.

Make no mistake, what we've seen since last Thursday has been a display of white priviledge and the servile attitude towards it from those who probably feel most threatened by racial diversity.

Apparently, councils were told to look out their condolence books several weeks ago. HM's health and concomitant (now there's an appropriate word) lack of public appearances recently having been noted by those ITK.

You either have kids of a certain age or you’re OFTW.

You're the one who knew what he was talking about, elderly man with adult children.

Alright, I'll let it go.

I think you'll find IKEA's opening at Straiton knocked it into a cocked hat.

I remember when the opening of a new Krispy Kreme donut shop saw bigger crowds than Liz got, thousands queuing round the block for a feckin’ donut - polis’ called in to sort out donut themed disorder. Traffic chaos, the works.

I can imagine the dispatcher asking for somebody to deal with a riot at the doughnut shop - and fifty police cars turn up.
