A blatant penalty at the end there, it is a standard booking as well at absolutely any other point of the game or area of the park.

absolutely not.

There is no conclusive evidence of any significant contact. Man City player plays the ball an his boot brushes the liverpool player's shirt.

Horrendous play acting too. staying down for a minute

If you dive 2 or 3 times looking for a penalty don't be surprised if the ref isn't going to look favourably on you when you go down again.

Should be irrelevant when you have VAR though.

No need for this VAR cack and debating decisions, if you stick the ball in the net.  Stay onside and at least hit the target.  Should have been a home win.

Mesmerising, exhilarating and exhausting game of football.

only in the Barclays could you see a 1-1 draw.

Putting all the Sky hype aside it was a brilliant game of football. Despite so many players out Liverpool should have won it.

All the talksport / click bait sites etc will get into action focussing on the non award of the late penalty but as someone posted above Liverpool should have stuck the ball in the net and discussed it after.

Glad I don’t have to listen to Peter Drury.

That McGinn challenge from the other angle in real time - holy f**k 🤣 what was he thinking? Hopefully none of that nonsense in the summer for Scotland.

Just a second red card in 600 matches according to Emery.

No surprise Villa folded like a deck chair without him, he's utterly crucial to that side. His last three coaches have hardly ever rest him either, he usually plays every minute.

You've get crazy long odds of him getting a red card in the Euros, this isn't Sergio Ramos we are talking about.

How did the Brighton boy get away with a yellow.

Jumped into the tackle and put his studs into the Forest player's ankle.

I wonder if they watched it back, saw Morgan Gibbs White doing an off the ball Beckham, and thought f**k both of those let's just move on.

Probably been said before, but Klopp announcing he's leaving Liverpool is a good strategic move to galvanise the team for one last push. Maybe the only way he was going to be able to get them to challenge is that kind of a shake up. Everything will have been brought into focus, like if you're told you have 6 months to live, so they must now have an incredibly strong motivation to go and win the league.

What they're doing with a lot of young players in that team is really something.
