First Refusal: the EOS First Division 2023-24

Recommended Posts

My destinations for this week will be Oakley and Lochore. I was impressed with Lochore in the times I've saw them and expect them to survive.

Not sure if Oakley will be in free fall mode, up against a HW who boast some decent players.

Does anyone believe V.o.L will survive the drop?

Far too early for predictions.

Camelon 2-1 Rosyth
Oakley United 1-3 Heriot-Watt University
Whitehill Welfare 2-1 Blackburn United

Camelon narrowly march on.

And a thoroughly deserved 3 points with a last kick of the ball winner for ww who after a slow start got stronger as the game went on.

As I posted earlier far too early for predictions.

St Andrews game turned on a substitution.

Our New striker came off the bench to score two and set up another as Saints came from behind.

Three teams on six points and two of them meet on Saturday.

An early season cracker.

Dunipace's pitch is out of action, their next scheduled home game is in 3 weeks.

They are at ‘home’ (Sauchie) in the EOSQ Cup to Vale of Leithen next Wednesday.

I forgot that.

why not switch the fixture then?

It’s being played on Wednesday 23rd August.

great start to the season for St Andrews, 2 wins against 2 teams who will also be right up there at the end of the season. Without last seasons top scorer last night also

Absolutely. We had several players missing last night.

And our next two games are against teams that will be challenging for promotion so it doesn’t get any easier.

So you don't think Whitehill (your next game) will be in the hunt?

On Sunday I listed six teams who I thought would be our main rivals for promotion.

Blackburn, Whitburn, Newtongrange, Dunipace, Camelon and Kirkcaldy.

I stand by that list. But that doesn’t mean I’ll be right.

Very comfortable win tonight for Whitburn tonight.

Thought the match was going to get out of hand after the elbow incident, 10 minutes in. Brought both 11s together.

Feel sorry for these refs that have no linos to help them out.

Not sure what the obsession with linos at this level they are no help whatsoever at this level. The refs tell them not to do anything or they are standing waiting on the them telling them the decision and getting paid £40 in the process
