QP v Arbroath - Arbroath v QP

Recommended Posts

Not pretty and Arbroath were definitely better, but it's three points for your favourites and a lovely look at the top of the table.

Fox was outstanding and big McKenna was certainly entertaining.

Yeah I’ve got no complaints from us today, that was much more like it and what I’d expect from an Arbroath team

A bit of quality won it in the end whereas we were wasteful

QP a good side and hope they have a good season. But f**k off for a wee bitty please

Didn't think we were great today but 3 points are 3 points. Arbroath are a really poor team with a horrible wee b*****d of a manager. Will be surprised if they reach 25 points all season.

That’s a bit wide - we could’ve had 3 today on another day - against you who will be in the top 4 and potentially challenging

But best of luck to yous, looks like it’ll be an exciting season for you again

Clean sheet for a 16 year old against the full repertoire of Arbroath's finest strikers who couldn't burst a paper bag if they stood on it. Bloody fantastic. As last week Charlie Fox my MOTM.

Spot on. We were better today as we showed a bit of fight but that was it. No quality and all a bit hit and hope. Even though we had loads of possession in and around your box in the second half, we only had one proper goal scoring chance - the header straight at your keeper from 6 yards. Fox was outstanding, motm by miles imo.

How many proper goal scoring chances did they have if we only had one? Surely McIntosh one on one counts? What about Stowe when he cut in?

Didn’t say they had loads of chances, in fact their goal was the only decent one they had.

McIntosh’s chance was no more than a half chance as was Stowe’s. Their keeper barely had to make a save.

Having said that we definitely deserved something out of the game.

And that’s a team packed full of pace and creativity and goals - we matched them today, we did play well and showed some quality but we were too wasteful.

Not sure how today could be classed as not good enough, result wasn’t what we wanted but that happens in football

We really should've taken something from that game, if only our players could hit the target cause we had plenty good shooting chances and the header that was saved was hit straight at him was a absolute sitter. At least we were a lot better than of late but still beat. As for QP i wasn't particularly impressed by them they knocked the ball about but created not a lot but we still couldn't beat them. Sigh........

Arbroath certainly had a bit more bite about them this game and created some half chances but their only real chance was the header straight after the goal which Bird should have buried

Not in a mocking way but Arbroath are honking. Simply can’t see them being better than some championship sides over 36 games

We weren’t great but we wouldn’t have won of that game last season. So much more dig about this time

The poor pass out of defence that got intercepted in the first half?  The desperate clearance off the line after he took too many touches in the second half?

Risk and reward with McKenna, he creates a lot more for us than Gaston punting it aimlessly every time he got the ball.
