Granny Danger
The team from Greenock have had a poor start to the season conceding more league goals than anyone else in the division. That said they have scored an average of 1.5 goals per game. We had a very good performance today against a fellow Championship team and with the signing of Tilson on loan we can allow Grimshaw to cover at RB thereby addressing a potential team weakness. Tilson was very impressive today and didn’t look like a guy who was playing his first game for us. With Moult continuing to do what he does, Glass turning in excellent performances, the danger of Cudjo and ability of our defensive players I’m hoping for another three points and the chance to consolidate our position as league leaders.
Bigmouth Strikes Again
Old man Danger putting the boot in with Dundee FC 'Morten patter'. Thank goodness we're out of that tinpot shite-mare. Thank you.
UtdFan
Morton appear to be taking a LOT of shots every week but at the same time, their goals conceded column is the worst in the league. Sounds like an attack minded team who don’t mind taking risks defensively? Could be a goal fest next week! (0-0 guaranteed now…)
invergowrie arab
Morten is Dee patter. They were quite right to allow Hamilton to score as many as they wanted.

If Imrie still doesn't realise how bad he is and plays him against our front 3 it's gonna be a bloodbath.

We may have been involved in some open games so far, but a lot of that was based on circumstances like chasing the game when behind. At Tannadice the gameplan will absolutely be hard-working defensive shitfesting. Hopefully it'll be well-organised defensive shitfesting but the flaw in that remains the lack of a right back to play an actual back four without Kirk Broadfoot (87). Nothing about our performance today suggests we're getting closer to an effective solution. This game will be getting dinghied in any case due to the £27 ticket price, which is objectively ridiculous.

Look forward to seeing you there.

I agree, I don’t think he got into the game at all but I’m not sure the instructions he got from Goodwin who may have been quite happy with what we’d got.

Not sure it's worth drawing conclusions based on 15 minutes when the rest of the team had their flip flops on.

Crawford (injured), Oakley (injured), Quitongo (injured), Boyd, Bearne, McGrattan and Muirhead are all options for the forward four (wingers/#10/#9), which for a shallow squad is quite a lot. The only risk we've taken this season defensively is our transfer business. We only have four defenders - one of whom is Kirk Broadfoot - and not one is a Right-Back, we play a centre-half there (or a midfielder, or a winger.) As for the goals we've conceded this season: Raith's 1st was a bit of a 'not in the game yet', as Raith hit us fast. The 2nd was a joke penalty and the 3rd was a Broadfoot special. Arbroath - 1st goal was a penalty that most seem to still be unconvinced about, Broadfoot, again. 2nd was a standard gaol from a corner that Wilson helped over the line, and the 3rd, well that one I've totally forgotten. Partick - shite, shite, shite and shite. The only game where the defense were really bad was Partick. Raith was a bit of a "b*****d..." game and Arbroath was just moments of class/misfortune. And when I say that, just know that Broadfoot goes down as shite or at fault for every game. 4-2 to United inbound

Colkitto
Our defence has been a bit of a shambles due to lack of signings and injuries. Dougie has mentioned there will be signings next week so one must be a RB. If we can get a decent RB and get the central defensive pairing of O' Connor and Baird we should be more solid. Waters is a very decent LB and we have one of the best keepers in the division.

O'Connor/Baird were in the main excellent for us last season. A good right back sorts it. Power is definitely an upgrade in midfield. The young lad Keay albeit based on only a few minutes at the end yesterday looked as if he might have a bit to offer in the future.
