Pars vs Arbroath - Tue 28th Nov

Recommended Posts

Certainly looks like they announced the actual crowd.

Bizarre end to the game - into the 103rd minute (must be about the latest we've played without it going to extra time) and an Arbroath player is down and the stretcher called for. About 3 minutes go by then the referee just blows for full time. Weird

If Fisher is out long term then we are fucked.

Hammy with Otoo and Comrie either side come Saturday? Or ditch the back 3 for a more conventional back 4?

Could see him playing Hamilton, Otoo and Comrie with O’Halloran at RWB tbh. Really should be Hamilton and Otoo as part of a back four though.

Not sure we have 1 guy capable of playing CB in a back 4, never mind 2. So we’re stuck with the back 3 until natural defenders are back. Seriously hope none of tonight’s injuries are as bad as they looked. Players nearby seemed very concerned about all 3 of them.

Also looked like Moffat did his hamstring. Hope he’s back soon-ish, but there were 3 guys that left the park in a lot more pain and I’m more concerned about them.

On the football - Arbroath are going down and doesn’t even look like they’ll put up a fight. They were comically bad, particularly second half. We played some good stuff at times in the second half, but that doesn’t take anything away from how awful they were. The third goal was truly pathetic from them.

O’Halloran, Wighton and Jakubiak all came off the bench and made a very positive difference for us. O’Halloran finally got us running at that defence with the ball and they couldn’t cope. McCann looked so much better with those guys around him too.

edit - just looked at the league table and I got it wrong. Thought they were bottom. But they’re only 6 points behind us with a game in hand. I’ll assume that was a lot worse than usual from them.

Arbroath are really bad, barring them appointing a gaffer who improves them massively they're down.

The striker for them Bird? Is totally gutless, for a big fella he couldn't be arsed challenging Hamilton for high balls, absolutely howling.

Arbroath we're so bad. Great to get the win but they really were shockingly bad.

Again loads of missed chances and our injury curse strikes again. 3 players off injured. KRH looks totally fucked again. Fisher our only natural CB we had left couldn't put any weight on his right foot. Hopefully Owen Moffat won't be too long. Going to be very short for Saturday by the look of it.

The main positives though is a very helpful 3pts in our game in hand, Wighton getting a double and clean sheet for a keeper lacking confidence.
