CALDERON
1-1 a fair reflection. I imagine we are playing Gullan in the role meant for Hamilton, but it's really not working.
R.R.FC
We’ve been the better team without being anywhere near our best. We’ve clearly had a game plan to get the ball up to Hamilton early and play off him but despite him pulling out right before kick off we have continued to play as if he’s in the team. Gullan and Smith have offered a threat in behind but winning headers and holding the ball up is not their strength. We’ve looked dangerous when we’ve reached the final third with Stanton and Easton looking our most threatening players. However, we need a big improvement second half. Think we’ve looked nervy at the back too, can’t remember Arbroath creating much but we’ve been a bit rushed and all over the place when the balls reached our box.
ExiledLichtie
You can still see traces of Dickball, for example, Hamilton making a good intercept, putting a foot on the ball, looking up, and then smashing the ball long to absolutely nobody, but we do look organised, we are passing it about, and Jay Bird up front is having a good game. Fragile at the back, but that's a given. I would still say Raith are the better team, but I was surprised by their reaction to the penalty. They seemed quite happy to sit in and keep it 1-1 till half time.

Weve created a good few chances and looked decent when we have gotten the ball down but not sure we dont need to shift something about here, if only to get us more possession in midfield to play Gullan and Smith in rather than expecting them to win high balls. You just described the start of the second half against Partick…now we need to kick on again. Meanwhile, Gullan is absolutely a number 11, not a 9 or 10.

Hank Scorpio
Gullan just does not occupy the defenders anywhere near to the extent that Hamilton does. Hamilton never gives the centre halves a minute, Gullan and Smith haven’t bothered Arbroath at all. Not sure where the goal is going to come from.
TxRover
Double down and replace O’Reilly or Brown with Matthews, having Matthews play up with Stanton. in other places, Vaughan for Gullan, McGill for Easton and Mullin for Smith
mealsonwheels
Cmon guys. Perfect opportunity. These are the games that make or break you. If we csn push through this game with a win I think we have a legitimate chance!

Craigus
Listening to these "Arbroath characters" get excited about memories of Dundee United games they have attended is a fitting end to a non-event of a game played out on a tatty field.
