Dry January

Not enough Drynuary chat on this thread.

Good luck to all of you attempting this. I'll also give it a go. My birthday is on Burns Day but I'm staffing a training weekend which is totally sober. Ridiculous timing 😂. Might actually do this.

Last year I did dry January but drank on the first until midnight as my defence was everyone toasts the bells, my mates claimed I hadn’t done it.
Solution not toast or count Feb first?

I figure that it starts when you wake up on the first of January

which also means it ends when you wake up on the first of February as opposed to at midnight

My only experience of no alcohol beer was Tennants Zero which tasted awful.

Picked up an Aldi St Etienne zero alcohol lager today and having it with tea. It is actually quite nice.

I heard it was erectile dysfunction and premature baldness.

Not really funny mate.

There's actual alcoholics on here.

I know, was just trying to make a wee joke.

Failed.

It's ok mate. I just know that people that suffer are easily triggered.

Think stopping drinking at once is pretty dangerous.

Causes seizures & stuff.

Aye only if you're getting blackout every other day. I daresay such folk won't be in a rush to actually do dry January. This thread will be for the dilettantes who only get pished once or even twice a week.
