DAFC v AUFC - The proverbial 6 pointer

Ya beauty! Happy for Chris. He has been brilliant for us and was unlucky in his first game not to score. Fucking shambolic from that Ayr defence though.

The defence is the one thing we have not improved upon at all under Brown. A massive clear out needed in that department and I’m edging closer to not having McGinty as a starter next season.

Only positive is we have players on the bench who can come on and give us a lift. Would be introducing Chalmers and Willoughby straight away.

A genuinely pathetic first half performance.

Possibly worst half of season?    A wake up call if ever one was needed that this relegation battle going to the wire - could well be 9th by next game.

Absolutely zero sign of us getting back into this but hopefully a combo of Pars deciding to sit back and us making a couple of changes somehow help

Two awful goals to conceded, but we got everything we deserved. Horrendous stuff today. A real lack of movement or any kind of creativity. Punting the ball long all half, without changing it up at all.

Deary me. Get it changed.

Long way to go, and 2-0 is a bit of a precarious situation against a team, whilst underperforming, that is on a similar level to you; however, you can't ask for more despite a bit of a quiet spell with the 45+ minutes. As the old adage goes: next goal is massive.

If we can keep Ayr quiet and get the next goal, hopefully we see Bene getting some minutes.

Much improved generally with the chances being made but some great finishes, funny that the ref should have pulled it back for a foul shy directly before the second. Unless it's genius level advantage being played

I think this game could go either way but the more the beer flows the more confident I feel. Go find @DA Baracus

Was in East Port before the game. Currently back of the Norrie.

Anyway, felt we started really well first quarter. Had some chances then fell out it a bit. However we then scored from the corner, with the smallest player on the pitch converting a header, then capitalised on a comical defensive faux pas to make it two, Kane with a nice finish.

Ayr have hardly troubled us save from one bit of play where they were through but it was given for offside (wrongly from my point of view although it was the other side of the park).

Have to be happy with that first half overall given our advantage.

Conceding from a cross and an individual error, like about 95% of the goals conceded so far this season. The one time you want McGinty to just hoof it the way he's facing, he dithers. Ayr have been so far off the pace here and are lucky it's only 2. Pars deservedly ahead.

Yup - the only positive we can take is that it's not 4 and totally over, its just 2 and more than likely over 🤣
