Soapy FFC
40 minutes ago, BFTD said: I recently had the same conversation with my son that my mum and I had thirty years ago. "What's your National Insurance Number?" *repeats from memory* "How do you remember that? I can never remember mine" "You will" I still remember my university matriculation number from nearly 40 years ago.

Couldn't tell you a single one of our landline numbers since then, including the current one. I got a call a while back from a London number and the first four digits were the old area code of the town in the Midlands I was born in - thought 1985 was calling me for a minute.
Moomintroll
Sure I have mentioned this before but we managed to get the phone number 551690 in Kilwinning, could have sold it for a fortune if that was a thing back then.
