I recently had the same conversation with my son that my mum and I had thirty years ago.

"What's your National Insurance Number?"
*repeats from memory*
"How do you remember that? I can never remember mine"
"You will"

I still remember my university matriculation number from nearly 40 years ago.

Landline phone numbers from 40 years ago.

Yep. Still remember our old home phone number. Couldn't tell you a single one of our landline numbers since then, including the current one.

I got a call a while back from a London number and the first four digits were the old area code of the town in the Midlands I was born in - thought 1985 was calling me for a minute.

NINO - Mine is easy as there is only one digit variance between my DOB and my NINO, assumed everyone was the same for years,

I live alone and when heading home although I cook what I decide I sometimes still sing 'we hope it's chips, it's chips, Oh we hope it's chips....'
