Petty Things That Get On Your Nerves...

When Englishmen ask "the Scottish Championship, is that the top league?"

Now, to be clear, this isn't a gripe aimed directly at them, but more towards the officials up here that stupidly thought that copying their system would make a difference. It clearly hasn't. Arseholes.

Or on Sky Sports Super Saturday - “Raith have taken the lead against Airdrie in the Scottish First Division”. <_<

The English media's insistence on calling Rochdale's draw with Tottenham today "a famous cup shock". It isn't. A cup shock - never mind a famous one - actually involves the bigger team getting knocked out of the competition: Celtic by Inverness; Rangers (defunct) by Berwick; Dundee (no Scottish Cup win since 1910) by Fraserburgh. Tottenham getting another chance in a replay that they will almost certainly canter to victory in is not a cup shock and it is not 'famous'  as no-one but Rochdale's sad and pointless band of supporters will even recall this match in five years' time. The Scottish Cup didn't have too many shocks this season, but at least the media didn't resort to this level of fuckwittery in a bid to make the competition seem more exciting.

In fairness to vT, as a Morton fan he can fully relate to Rochdale fans......

6th months ago I could have related but I'd have said they were the real fans; watching your team get beat every week and adrift at the bottom of the league.

Now, I can't even remember what it's like supporting a diddy team. :whistle

I hope this is in relation to the Stevie Clarke effect at Kilmarnock and not Dindeleuxs chronic #TB4 "patter"?!

Got an email from the ops managers in work this morning. They are restructuring our teams and, as such, will be holding team building days so that we can meet our new team members. I’ve been here almost six years, know 99% of the staff and get on with most of them, so why do we need these things?

PS Suppose it’s a good excuse for a skive...

It's good for the company as a whole to have the young employees working alongside more experienced staff. Increases the chance they'll make the big time and not get kicked out to McDonald's...

"Restructuring" is code language for sacking people, so I'd assume these team building days are for the management to decide who stays and who gets punted.
