If I get flights from City Airport then it saves considerable time flying, as I'll leave my flat/office about an hour/45 mins before the flight and still be at my gate before boarding. Total travel/waiting time being about 2 and a half hours, compared to 5 hours minimum going by train. City airport would definitely cut travelling time. It's the near vertical take off and landing that I have presented as a barrier to me using it.
