Thought at first it was drugs but he'd have to get an actual ban rather than a suspended one I wouldn’t be shocked if his “indefinite break” is actually a domestic ban. That’s how they handled Hales’s first drug ban.
Eednud
In the Sheffield Shield in Hobart today Tasmania’s Sam Rainbird took 8/21 in 14.5 overs in the first innings to restrict Queensland to 104. This is the best Tasmanian bowling performance and the most economical 8 wicket hail in 164 years of the Shield. https://www.cricket.com.au/video/sam-rainbird-eight-wickets-tasmania-tigers-sheffield-shield-queensland-record-video-highlights-haul/2022-03-23

peasy23
Never saw the end of Pakistan's innings yesterday, but they lost their last 7 wickets for just 20 runs as Starc and Cummins ripped through them.Australia on to 120-1 and building a hefty lead.

They probably need to get to the close without losing any wickets. jaggyness
England making a typical England start. 46/3 after 25 overs
Boo Khaki
Welcome back to the real England. Trundling along at less than 2RPO, needlessly playing at everything, throwing wickets away and generally making things easy for a powderpuff attack. Nice to see some things can still be relied upon in these uncertain times.

Oooft, it kinda had that inevitability that if you can't take your chance when your on top (last week) it'll come back to bite you. Having said that we don't know how the England bowlers will utilize the pitch... Edited March 24, 2022 by btb

die hard doonhamer
West Indies have bowled superbly on a green track. England need to do better, though.
peasy23
England 204 all out, thanks to Leach and Mahmood adding 90 for the last wicket.
btb
Great performance by the English tail, but how will the pitch play today with the Windies batting? Edit: 41-0 after 14 overs, looks like the pitch might be quite benevolent for the next coupla days - the issue is whether it will start to disintegrate in time for either side (prob'ly the Windies atm) to force a win? Edit: Lunch - West Indies 71/3 - pretty close now, at least we should a "result". Edited March 25, 2022 by btb
jaggyness
Maybe, just maybe we were a little harsh on England? Or is it just two poor teams cancelling each other out?

I’m not sure that it is to the extent that these batting lineups have shown though.
