peasy23
Australia finally all out for 328, lead by 26. Unsurprisingly Smith carries his bat, 141 not out.
peasy23
Should be about 20 overs for England to get through before the close of play.
Jmothecat2
Cook out early. Would have thought England would have been looking to end the day without losing a wicket, but it doesn't look like they are batting with that attitude. When did Cook last get a decent score?

Rather enjoyed them panning to her as he hit the century

Jmothecat2
One more wicket tonight and England are in trouble. Fantastic batting from Smith saved their innings.
Lichtie78
Steve Smith is a tremendous player. If Australia get Root out England will be in serious trouble I think.
Jmothecat2
Steve Smith is a tremendous player. If Australia get Root out England will be in serious trouble I think. I think performances like that emphasise why he is the world's number 1 batsman. It isn't just statistics that matter, but getting runs and creating partnerships when it matters. Advantage very much Australia now and that is because of him. If Aussie win this match, which looks the most likely result, it will be because of that innings.
Mr. Brightside
That was a captains knock if ever if saw one from Smith. Unbelievable poise and composure to guide Australia out of trouble.

PNG were 147 all out with Sharif taking 4-38 and Evans 3-23. Scotland knocked off the target with almost 12 overs to spare, McLeod 60 not out and Coetzer 29. 3rd best scorer was extras with 21. ^^^Orange Walk thread for this pish.

pandarilla
The sky sports advert for the west indies v new zealand might be the saddest advert I've ever seen. If you listen carefully you can hear them crying in the background.
peasy23
England started well, but the Aussies brought Lyon on and he quickly got one to go away from Stoneman who nicked it to slip. Root then had a waft at a couple he should have left, one of them he edged but was lucky to see it drop short of Smith. 63-3, lead by 37.
peasy23
Big worry for England with Root having to get treatment during the drinks break, flat on his back and getting some serious twisting and stretching by the physio. Looks like it could be a back problem. They have also confirmed that Anderson is suffering with a bruised right shoulder which he sustained when he was hit by the ball when batting the other day.
peasy23
Malan out too, 4 down with a lead of just 50. Lyon getting plenty out of the pitch now.

lichtie23
Solid start from the Aussies. Can’t see them blowing this

peasy23
Went to bed just after Malan got out, sadly it's not a huge surprise to see that the frailties that everyone was worried about all surfaced through the night. Plenty of decent starts from England batsmen during this match but nobody has been able to turn it into a really big score. Cook's form remains a huge worry.
Savage Henry
Reports suggesting Jonny Bairstow headbutted Cameron Bancroft in a nightclub a few days ago. http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/21566551/england-investigate-bairstow-headbutt-allegations If proved true, it's likely to be the end of his tour. Already it's becoming a disastrous tour for England.
