  1. The two march ban was brought in 7 seasons ago. Previous players who have been banned include Sone Aluko, Peter Pawlett, Isma Goncalves, Jamie Walker and Alex Schalk. i knew there was precedent but hadn't appreciated it was a rule. Still seems harsh.
  2. As with Mckenna the other week, two match ban seems harsh for a bookable offence. The cheating c**t should get a one match ban.
  3. Don't see the problem. It's not school. If you choose not to go to tutorials and pass then what's wrong with that? You'll more likely fail though. I failed a year through not going, passed when i did go and had to pay my own fees for re-sitting. I learned that i am responsible for motivating myself. Spoon fed conscripts like the recent graduates in my work expect the spoon feeding to continue and blame others when they don't learn. in summary, let them f**k themselves
  4. i was in charge of opening a new set of floating allottments on a lake. Nobody would come on the lake because of the giant amphipods leaping like salmon up the waterfalls that flowed upwards because of all the vulcanism. There were nautilus too, but they didn't jump so well.
  5. The wife very kindly opened my bag of coffee for me. It looks like she used a lawnmower. Grounds all over the place at 5 am. Lovely.
  6. I commute for 80 miles, cycling 3 miles at one end and one at the other. For Uber w****r points, my bike folds in half and fits on the racks. I am so, so very sorry if this hurts your delicate feelings.
  7. i think that's too much of a stretch, and i have finbar saunders syndrome. Now if had been bishop's finger...
  8. just finished a "camden show off" and opened a "stone ipa". That's another 2 on the avoid list. The first for tasting like grapefruit, the second for being massively over hopped. i still have a brooklyn lager to go, which i know to be fine.
  9. There is no reason we can't re-introduce stuff and keep the murderous sociopaths happy. We can reintroduce them, then have them shot by paying maniacs.
  10. Talking honestly is a dangerous policy. I recommend lying through your teeth, especially when they ask why you want the job or what you see as the biggest challenges. Remember that you are looking for a step up so you need to convince them that you are good for the higher level role and not just good at your current job. As a general rule, higher levels require more people skills. This is where the lying comes in again.
  11. Better than Mr Poppy though. (unpopular opinion for kids)
  12. Pretty sure that when Doncaster says "agreed by the clubs" he meant rangers and celtic.
  13. Golf is only superb entertainment if all your paint is already dry.
  14. Sounds extremely sinister. Is this for blowing up hospitals with drones?
  15. Folk pushing their shopping trolleys from the side seems to be all the rage down my way. The handle is on the back. Use it. sphincters.
  16. recently finished: Mad, Bad and Dangerous to Know- Ranulph Fiennes' autobiography. Really engaging subject matter. Made the locations and challenges accessible without any heroic romanticism. The chapter "Ginny" had me bawling. It was completely unsentimental but very emotional. Some pacing issues and things felt badly prioritised. Would have liked more of the mercenary days. Also contains a useful checklist of kit for any budding polar explorers. The Captain and the Enemy Greene by numbers. Ok but felt like an early draft (or breif reprise) of Travels with my Aunt or possibly a character sketch for The Comedians.
  17. I would have thought that more stuff would take up more room? faster processers are bigger, need more power from bigger batteries and more cooling. I wouldn't put it past women to demand big screens on their wee phones.
