BFTD Posted April 4 Share Posted April 4 The paracetamol limitation has been around for 10-15 years IIRC, and was brought in because people were overdosing on it both accidentally and deliberately. The problem is that a double dose can be fatal to certain people in the right circumstances, as it's a lot more dangerous than people realise. I've no idea where they came up with the figure of 32 tablets from, considering that far fewer than that can pop you off. Way before then, apologies if already covered. Basically it was stop, or at least limit, the ability of people to go in, buy a pile of paracetamol and then gub the lot.
