Agreed, and to go one step further, there is no place for cold chocolate in a decent society and this includes dross like Magnums.

It's hard to beat a good quality vanilla ice cream

This is just plain wrong. Chocolate should be stored in the fridge, it's much better when it is cold.

Correct. Nothing worse than chocolate that is basically melting.

Ice cream is improved with a bit of crunch. And obviously the king of kings is mint choc chip.

Hmm. Choc ices (a Magnum is just a fancy one) are decent, so will have to disagree there.

There's definitely a discussion to be had about what chocolate should be cold though.

Get a grip, man. This is right up there with "the anus is for output only" in the Big Book of Wrongthink.

That's quite enough from you.

Only certain things. In fact a limited list. Crunchies and Wispas would go in the fridge. Most others I can think of should be stored in a sealed tub in a cupboard, away from sunlight.

"Transport for London (TfL) said the art was removed "some days ago" in line with its "strict anti-graffiti policy".

The work, called If You Don't Mask, You Don't Get, features a number of rats in pandemic-inspired poses and wearing face masks.

One rodent stencilled on the Circle Line train appears to be sneezing, while another is shown spraying anti-bacterial gel.

The artist's name is also daubed across the driver's door of a train.

The statement from TfL said it appreciated "the sentiment of encouraging people to wear face coverings".

"We'd like to offer Banksy the chance to do a new version of his message for our customers in a suitable location," it added."

That unfunny, derivative, flatulent w****r Banksy should be facing a jail sentence for trespass and vandalism, not being invited to spray walls with his unoriginal pish. Pity he wasn't Brazilian, some Met Cop might have shot him.

Poorer quality chocolate isn't badly affected by the fridge. Nestle standard is the borderline, so anything Mars quality and above should be room temperature and cadbury and below you can do what you like with.

Marianne Faithful would agree.

I don’t find the Carol Baskin video where she gives a mention to Rolf Harris particularly funny.

It's from the same patter vacuum that sees numpties send Hulk Hogan pictures of Harold Shipman/Jimmy Saville and pretending it's their grandparent who is dying in the hope Hulk gives them a shout out. Never understood it.

I am fairly sure that anyone who actually knows anything about chocolate would tell you it should be enjoyed at room temperature.

That it exists in refrigerated/frozen form is akin to shops putting Buckfast in the fridge. It will make money, because morons. Therefore it doesnt matter how wrong it is.

People who eat chocolate from the fridge are almost certainly on a government watchlist.

I am basically in agreement that chocolate should be enjoyed at room temperature.  It's a bit nasty if it's too cold.

The only reason to put chocolate in the fridge is to prevent it being melted before you even open it, on the rare days that it's warm enough for that to happen.

Feasts are shirley an exception.  The frozen solid centre is an essential part of the experience.

Worst post ever on P&B, imo.

Also, chocolate is best when it has been melted a bit (by sitting on etc) then stored in the fridge overnight.

Here's a scenario for you:

Get bag of maltesers - allow to melt slightly - fridge/freeze for a few hours - enjoy a sort of chocolate and honeycomb helix as they temper back together

To be clear, I was mainly talking about everything that isn't an ice lolly or similar.

Yes, sir.

Melted refrigerated Maltesers are one of life's true pleasures.

Although I've yet to encounter a chocolate snack that isn't improved out of sight by this technique. Despite what some perverts on this thread claim.

By doing so, you  are contributing to the story of the chocolate and will enjoy it tenfold imo
