Happy with that. Seems highly rated though he did play against us in the 7-1 game last season

Hopefully doesn't mean Lang has had another injury setback

Frees up Henderson to move into midfield if required anyway

Just need another striker as cover for MacIver and the squad will be looking very #tidy

ETA: If Morrison is out until January as rumoured and I was being greedy I'd also want another winger

I think if maciver is injured we could do worse than push Hendo up front .Hes got good football brain and can finish especially with his head. Given we now have cover at CB it’s maybe worth a try . Reminds me of Baptie and I’m sure he could do a similar job - irrespective it’s a much better option than playing Shanley

I get where you are coming from but for me we should try Alfie or McKenna up front first if big Ross wasn’t fit.

I’m looking forward to Sunday and the full occasion but the nerves are starting to kick in tbh. Huge stage but excited for the players and ourselves. Years of shit, playing on some public parks almost, against jobbers. Can’t wait 💙

I'm kindof the opposite. My heart sank at the draw because it's the only unwinnable tie in Scotland. I'd happily have played the blue bigots as they are shite but Celtic away is just... difficult.

Add in their vile scum fanbase ... I was much more excited about the Airdrie game last weekend. I just hope we get through tomorrow with no injuries

Reading that the top league clubs are receiving an additional hand out of between 650K - 1M, down to Tics European adventures. Livi included for receiving payment. Not a penny distributed down the leagues.

At least in England the wealth does trickle down a wee bit, not so with this greedy, selfish mob. Too much self preservation going on there.

Indeed. For the good of the health of the league it should be an equal split of the monies between the 42.

This isn't such a bad idea....a modern day baptie who could potentially wreak havoc on a tiring defence...only if he was out the team at the back though ...which barring injury he won't be anytime soon...hes been a rock this season so far

It's supposed to compensate them for their fixtures getting mucked about.

From the BBC.

"Dundee, Hibernian, Kilmarnock, Motherwell, Ross County, St Johnstone and St Mirren will each take in £1.6m in solidarity payments due to Celtic's Champions League qualification, with Aberdeen and Dundee United receiving £1m and £650,000 going to Hearts and Livingston. "

Ross County and St Johnstone to receive £1.6 million each!! To put it in perspective I think our turnover last season was something like £2.5 million. Absolute disgrace that the closed shop mentality of the SPL clubs won't countenance a percentage distribution to the lower tiers.

Theres an article on one of the daily’s making reference to Dundee receipting over 2.5M this year in these type of payments. Didn't realise the complete disengagement out with the top league with the rest of Scottish football. I can almost understand why the usual one or two championship clubs nearly go bust trying to get up. It’s absolutely pathetic that some of this money is not distributed down the leagues, while the cartel sit enjoying the cigars.

Hopefully some of the Celtic players come onto the pitch with a mindset of going through the motions and the game is no more than a formality. Players may not run onto the pitch thinking that but hopefully deep down there's some in that complacent mindset. Falkirk while allowing for what is a pacy and quality forward line should play their own game. Just as in the Hearts game the first 20 minutes are crucial because Celtic will come out the traps at kick off.

Is it not UEFA that make those decisions, or at least specify it's to be shared amongst top flight clubs?

On another thread someone said its up to the associations. However, UEFA encourage it to be split amongst top tier clubs. This might change to top two tiers.

McGlynn in interview with FH now saying he has no idea when Lang will be back ? Maybe wrong thought he was being quoted at three weeks till back ?

The segment I saw, he said he had been told 3 weeks... but had been told that on previous occasions too.
