Some very loose plans of what's being proposed for the gateway site opposite the stadium

Will be suggesting we are provided with some corner pods as part of the development at the public consultation next year

Interesting.  Leisure/food might include a new pre match booze option or two?

There is to be a pub/restaurant plus fast food places which will be great on match days for home and away fans I reckon.

How comfortable would you be with a house on the perma-flooded area next to the fire station?

Imagine that won't be an issue once new drainage works are complete. Looked like they had dug some trial pits on Saturday. I believe the road upgrading works will also be providing major improvements to drainage at that area

I'm guessing the area opposite the main stand will be where the pub/ restaurant is and the other food areas on the other side of the roundabout will be the fast food/ drive-through locations

All these new houses being built there (and also in Hallglen and presumably (eventually) where the college and town hall was) is great but can the health and education infrastructures cope?

It can't cope as it is now!!

Is the old college building a listed building? Seems strange it hasn't been demolished if not

It hasn't been demolished because it has some BT transmitting mast/ equipment on the roof with a long-term lease. It is to be moved to a new site before the demolition can be completed but that will take time to sort out

Happens more often than you would think
