Ludo*1
What We Do In The Shadows. I've not a clue what to make of it. A documentary about vampires. Done by the guy that does Flight of the Concords. Jemaine. I've not a clue whether or not it was so bad it was passable or if it was genuinely a decent watch. All I can say of it was that I never turned it off. Won't give it a mark. As it's either a 5/10 or a 1/10.

Tommy Nooka
I really enjoyed What We Do In The Shadows, Vlad on drinking virgin blood - " I think of it like this. If you are going to eat a sandwich, you would just enjoy it more if you knew no one had fucked it."
Ira Gaines
They Look Like People Bit of a low key thriller about a guy who thinks that people are being taken over by evil beings and kinda gets a good mate wrapped up in the whole thing. The whole thing basically rests on the relationship between the two leads, rather than anything else that might be going on, although we are given some genuinely top drawer scenes both with the nightmares that we see, and then with the belting ending as well. It's a really good movie. 8/10
Scorge
I, Daniel Blake Film of the year, for me. A carpenter (played brilliantly by Dave Johns) falls ill, cannot work, and gets subjected to the bureaucratic clusterfuck of the UK benefits system. It is funny in places but for the most part is utterly heart breaking, yet manages to avoid falling into melodrama. The final oration in the film particularly got to me. 10/10
pandarilla
Anthropoid decent WW2 flick with Jamie Dornan and Cillain Murphy, based on a true story which is worth reading up on after you see the film, very much a part of the war that went under the radar, the final 30 minutes or so are really well shot .8/10 I just read a book about this. I hardly ever read books but can highly recommend hhHh. I'll need to see this film now.
GrahamJags
I, Daniel Blake - 10/10. Basically what Anthropoid said. Film of the year for me. Was difficult to watch for a fair bit of it, but still managed to retain a dark humour throughout. For what it's worth, I thought the trailer for it looked terrible and I only went because I had an Unlimited Card and thought I might as well (no life IMO). Utterly fantastic film. Keeping Up With The Joneses - 2/10. Shite. Even worse when watching it after the film above.

DA Baracus
Nah it was Bob Sapp. But aye, good film. His second name is Bone. He's clearly hard as f**k. As he proves throughout.

Twinkle
Sausage Party (unsure/10)I was howling through most of it but if its not your cup of tea, then you will hate it. I thought some of it was quite clever especially the german food section trying to exterminate the 'juice'

Cerberus
Ghostbusters 3. Funny in moments but the last 15/20 minutes with the "fight scene" was shite.
Ross.
Watched the Andy Samberg movie "Popstar - Never Stop Never Stopping" last night. Very much Spinal Tap for the current generation. Thought it was very funny in parts and definitely a worthy tribute to Spinal Tap. 8/10.
Shandon Par
American Honey Never seen so many folk walk out of a film. It was just so long and without much of a plot it was probably just too plodding for many. I didn't mind it as debut girl Sasha Lane was so incredible to watch. Shia LaBoeuf continues to atone for Transformers and Elvis' granddaughter was horrible/wid (especially in her Confederate flag bikini).
lichtie23
The MartianFinally got round to watching this. Thought it was a pretty decent watch but could have been done in under 2 hours. 7/10
GordonD
Downfall - German film with subtitles about the last ten days or so of World War Two, based in Hitler's bunker. You've almost certainly seen one of the parody clips with Hitler losing it, and new subtitles so it looks as if he's commenting on some topical event. If this film is accurate then he really was batshit crazy at the end. Getting twelve-year-old kids to face up to the Red Army, and having his own generals shot for retreating. Also amazing how some of his officers stayed loyal right to the end. Powerful stuff.
