spud131
Rock n Rolla - 8/10 Pretty good british gangster film, usual Guy Ritchie affair. Enjoyable and a few laughs throughout. Chocolate - 3/10 CHinese martial arts film from the people that made Ong-Bak (which Ive not seen). Ended up switchin it off after 45 mins, terribly made film, seemed to be shot in the styles of a bad porno film and a daytime living tv movie. The martial arts bits were well done but I couldnt be bothered sitting watchin another 45 minutes of them.
SaltyTON
INCLUDES SPOILERS. Don't know how to blacken them out. Delete it then. It's [spoi|er] [/spoi|er] - obviously with an l instead of a | though. Edited August 13, 2009 by SaltyTON
SaltyTON
CatwomanI had heard that this was a stinker but had no idea just how bad this film would actually be. Awful, awful acting, a script which I honestly believe was written by a five year old, stunningly bad CGI and seemingly random shite 'music' playing throughout. Atrocious. Will give it one cause I would to Halle Berry as well. 1/10 My Dad enjoyed it, which confirms everything that you have said.
Mak
The Kingdom - 7/10 Pretty much a bog standard thriller for the majority, and was heading for a 6/10 with a few annoyances such as impossibly noble FBI agents and so on for the majority of the film, but gained an extra mark for what I thought was a very powerful closing sequence. Not necessarily one that I'd watch again, but a wee bit better than your average throwaway thriller. Maybe not quite as incisive a political commentary as it's trying to be, though.

SaltyTON
Shrek (2001) Hilarious, and with a perfectly selected soundtrack. Can't fault this in any way. 10/10

Johnstoun
The Watchmen 5/10, had potential and was very glossy, but ended up being a bit of a mess. Edited August 15, 2009 by Johnstoun

Mak
I Am Legend - 7.5/10 I enjoyed this film, and would probably watch it again if in the right mood, but didn't think that it was a particular classic. Interesting concept (although quite far fetched), and I thought that Will Smith played his part well (given that he's the only actor for 95% of the film, it'd be quite shit if he didn't), but the underlying message of the dangers of tampering with nature came over as being a bit preachy, as did a couple of references to "God's will" and so on, which I thought were quite pointless. Still, an enjoyable enough watch.
stemjsim
Ingourious Basterds - 9/10 Had a blast watching this last night. Brad Pitt was excelent mugging his way through some of the scenes. Christopher Waltz was rgeat as the SS "Jew Hunter". Be warned the Basterds are not the main focus of the films but they are in around a third of the film.
uberman
The Last House On The Left 4/10 The best horror of all time, just keep repeating it's only a movie proudly proclaimed the cover leading me to thinking that it was going to be an excellent gorefest, what a disappointment, don't think I'll bother with the remake now.

StewartyMac
Watched Tarantino's 'Death Proof' last night. Well, when I say watched it, I endured it for just over an hour before turning it off in utter boredom. Kurt Russell hams it up well, but that is the film's only redeeming feature. I know Tarantino likes having lots of inconsequential dialogue between the characters, but in his top films, these characters are, for the most part, interesting. The women in this movie were bland, faceless individuals, even the lassie who played Salazar's bird in season 3 of '24'. Poor show, Quentin. 2/10.
