ScottyC
It is utterly atrocious! The funniest bit is where he searches the entire ship by himself. The brief appearance of Colombo is even more bizarre than the ending...
DomDom
Decay ( 2012 ) Horrendous. Actual horrendous. One of the worst movies I have ever seen, capped off by some truly horrendous acting. Just bad in a way that almost seems impossible. This gets my first no score for ages. 0/10
KnightswoodBear
Killing Them Softly Thought this was dreadful. A nasty, unpleasant movie populated by horrible characters. It wasn't half as clever as it thought it was. 3/10
Smurph
The Guilt Trip. Seth Rogen's the boy. I want to be his best friend. It wasn't a great film but there were some funny parts in it. A wee bit of emotional value and a decent wee twist too. 7/10 but mainly because of Seth Rogen. Edited March 11, 2013 by Smurph
SaltyTON
I've got the subtitles file. If you need it, pm me your email address and I'll send it to you. Found that one out. Looks like I'll be giving something else a go. Dodgy horror as well. The ABCs of Death. ABCs is dreadful, I think there were three videos that were passable... I got a DVDrip copy, it's been out for months, so subtitle files shouldn't be needed!
Smurph
Just watched Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Really, anything directed by Kevin Smith featuring Seth Rogan, Jason Mewes (and his dick) and Randal from Clerks is going to be fucking quality. Probably an 8/10.

Fun fact about Mewes there, he'd just masturbated before they shot that scene.
Smurph
Fun fact about Mewes there, he'd just masturbated before they shot that scene. That really doesn't surprise me. He probably wasn't even meant to come in the scene! Heard about Smith writing Clerks III?
forehead7
That really doesn't surprise me. He probably wasn't even meant to come in the scene! Heard about Smith writing Clerks III? Apparently on-set he shaved his pubes into a love-heart shape too. Can't remember how they looked in the film itself so not sure when it happened. Yeah, he apparently started writing at 4:20 in the morning! Not sure how it'll turn out, I still love Smith's writing and the characters are great. I'll be there opening day no doubt.
DomDom
I enjoyed both Clerks movies. The first more than the second, but the second isn't that far behind for me. Right, before I do my ABCs, I've decided to get a couple of movies out of the way that I had lined up. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey ( 2012 ) This just about meets my own expectations. It's easy to forget the main jist of the plot about half way through when all sorts of other shit starts going down, and at over two and a half hours, feels a lot longer than that. There's some nice touches in there, and some nice wee "oh! didn't think of that!" bits thrown in. There's a couple of genuine "holy shit!" sequences thrown in that keep the adrenaline pumping just about long enough to make up for the time that the movie takes to tell the story that it's telling. When we head into the final 25 minutes, it starts feeling like the epic tale that it's supposed to be, and I thought it was really good. Loved Martin Freeman as Bilbo. 7/10

Yeah, I'll probably go see it on release date too. Really looking forward to Jay and Silent Bob's Super Groovy Cartoon Movie too. They're apparently going to tour the UK like they did for Jay and Silent Bob Get Old but show the film before the Q&A thing. That would be great to go to. DomDom; I'd agree that Clerks is better but Clerks II is amazing too.

DomDom; I'd agree that Clerks is better but Clerks II is amazing too. Yeah, Smith did that with Red State across America and then did the UK too. Although I think that's because Red State took some work getting it funded and whatnot. I don't think Clerks III would struggle in the same way so a traditional release is more likely for this than Red State. I went to the Glasgow Q&A, it was a bit meh to be honest. I listen to a lot of their podcasts and a lot of the answers Smith gave were turned into stories I'd already heard on the podcasts so if you/anyone doesn't listen to the podcasts then they'd probably get a lot more out of the Q&A. Seeing the film a week or so before release in a packed cinema was cool though. I also walked by Smith as he was entering, couldn't even muster up any words cause it happened so fast! Yeah, Clerks is better than Clerks II but II has its moments. Jason Lee and Ben Affleck's cameos are cool and the Lord of the Rings rant from Randall is top notch.
11thHour
Argo - 8/10. Like Flight it was really good without being brilliant. Affleck is on great form here as is Bryan Cranston and Alan Arkin. The suspense that was created was almost unbearable at times it was that well done. I dont think it should've won best film but in saying that I haven't seen all the other films in the category. ArgoFuckYourself. Mordecai
Bridesmaids Utter baws, couldn't even finish watching it. I'm not even sure why I was expecting something from it. I'll give it 1/10 just because I didn't spontaneously explode with rage during it.
port-ton
Argo Perhaps built this up too much in my head with it winning best picture. Thought it was a pretty paint by numbers thriller. I usually love films based on true stories but then most of the time i don't know the story of it, and a lot of tension was lost on me because i knew how it was going to end. I never really felt invested in any of the characters safety either, as you don't really get to know them well. I'd be interested to see what i would have thought of this movie if i hadn't heard all the hype, and if i'd loved it going in with reasonable expectations but looking at it as a stand alone movie i thought it was a pretty average CIA thriller. I can definitely see why Affleck wasn't nominated for best director with it. A decent watch to pass time but not what it's made out to be. 7/10 A Time To Kill (1996) Watched this last night. Set in times of extreme racism in Mississippi ,Matthew McConaughey plays a lawyer who takes the case of a black man (Samuel L Jackson) who guns down two rednecks who raped his 10 year old daughter and left her for dead. The fact a white man is defending a black man makes the KKK reform in that area and they cause mayhem for anyone connected to the case. Kevin Spacey plays the District Attorney and Sandra Bullock as a law student is the best thing about the movie and looks stunning. Most of this movie was actually extremely enjoyable and watchable but was sort of ruined by one thing for me. I didn't agree with the message it was saying. Apart from one comment that seemed only thrown in for balance from a lawyer about justice prevailing no matter who won the case, this felt like it was a movie for what would nowadays be the facebook " HANG HIM!!111!!! " section of society. They make it out to be that if you rape a 10 year old then you deserve to be shot and killed rather than face jail. I'm not saying if it happened to me when i have a daughter that i wouldn't want to or even do the same thing as Samuel L Jackson's character, but if i did then i would expect to be punished for it but in the movie they try to make out like he doesn't deserve any punishment or prison sentence. I enjoyed most of this movie, and if you agree with the message of the movie then i'd say you'll absolutely love it. 6/10

Where he goes to the fridge in Zack and Miri's house near the end? Love that film. One of my absolute favourite comedies, everything about it is great. I would presume so, haven't seen it in a while but I think that's the only scene where you actually see it. Tyler Labine's cameo of coming into the coffee store drunk while they're filming it is fantastic.
lau03143
Killer Elite An ex-SAS soldiers, kidnapping and a bit of shoot-em-up. Jason Statham, Robert De Niro and Clive Owen. It sounds not bad, but it's a load of shite. 3/10
