pleslie99
I have decided to return, the big question is will Cardi allow me to keep all my titles I won previously or will I be starting from scratch. Anyway, a pathetic 3 to mark my return to duty

How about on a wednesday its double score day, Or the winner of leagues gets option to relegate any player in their league, the bottom flight can get option to promote someone instead of whoever finished second in the league. Or a similarly sensible suggestion is that, rather than @SlipperyPposting a play-off question you and the Cardi choose your champions and then wrestle for it a la Women in Love: 6 for Monday.
NJ2
Double points day sounds fun. I think the cardigan should keep the day mystery each week and it can be revealed when the league tables are at the end of the week? I trust him not to just pick the day he does best. Frequent cups would be good but fucked if I’m organising them. I’m still basking in the glory of the marvellous 2018 P&B WC. I don’t understand tynie’s relegation/promotion thing. That guy has some crazy ideas when he’s drunk.

Eednud
The deadline has passed so here are the play-off results: No answers posted from either @Salvo Montalbano or @blackislekillie Doon or up - @Bully Wee Villa is promoted to the big league @Salvo Montalbano 0 @Bully Wee Villa 40 ( I reckon they all did really badly. Thirty games in those days and two points for a win? Say 10 points each. Forty altogether. ) Up or doon - @SlipperyP slips up to the SWL @blackislekillie 0 @SlipperyP 43 (43 = I remember..nae don't ) The answer is 36 points ( @Jacksgranda guessed or knew this) 1962/63 Raith Rovers 9 points !963/64 East Stirlinghsire 12 points 1964/65 Third Lanark 7 points 1965/66 Hamilton Accies 8 points Should have added another season as Ayr United only managed 9 points in 1966/67.

Cardinal Richelieu
Woke up in a cold sweat realising I'd forgotten to finalise the cup results. So here it is ... the final results of the Quizmas Cup. And "exciting" really doesn't do it justice. After romping the first two rounds, the Young Whippersnappers were in danger of causing a rout, until a late flurry from the Old Guard left the scores at Old Guard 21.5 - 22.5 Young Whippersnappers with only 4 matches left to play. Much to Tynierose's chagrin, there was a bonus point up for grabs ... only a handful of teams - mostly from the Old Guard - actually noticed how to claim it, despite it being pretty obvious that all 12 questions were related to P+B usernames. Well, despite repeat tagging, only ONE of the remaining matches was played. Dee_62 11 3 blackislekillie Oh dearie me. By his own admission, BIK wasn't on his game, having only just returned from a holiday in Amsterdam with a dose of the clap. So it's all square at 22.5 each going down to the last matches .. Leeds Saint 7 DublinMagyar G_Man1985 9 Goober Bud cowden0 9 wastecoatwilly AND THE OLD GUARD HAVE DONE IT WITH THE LAST KICK OF THE BALL! The final score is: Old Guard 24.5 - 23.5 Young Whippersnappers. What a result. Despite having a question about him, Goober Bud didn't show up all week ... and there'll be a frosty reception awaiting DublinMagyar if he dares to show his face in the Young Whippersnapper changing room. This all goes to show that experience trumps youthful vigour. All that remains is for award the P+B Quizmas Cup scarf to the MVP in the Old Guard. There were many contenders, but the winner has to be none other than Dee Man. Despite a disastrous opening two rounds, he scraped a draw against Ziggy by claiming his bonus point. But really, the main reason was that his previous winning scarf from the Ride Her cup, was getting a bit dated and tatty. Well done @Dee Man - you can wear your new scarf with pride. Same time next year then lads. Edited January 8, 2019 by Cardinal Richelieu

Ross.
A rather paltry 4/10 for Monday. Too busy celebrating the cup win to care, a bit like Wigan probably were when they won the FA cup a few years back, though mostly they were just shit, which is too close to the truth for me.
