It was "we" when UK Courts in Scotland ruled that the prorogation of parliament was unlawful. It would appear that there is no "us" in unionism when it comes to this northern region of the UK having any kind of influence.

doulikefish
First exit polls in Israel are saying too close to call.Basically the 2 main parties are 31-34 seats each.120 seats in there parliament so whoever can cobble together over 60 seats in a co-alition gets to govern. No party has ever recorded over 60 seats on there own

welshbairn
Saudis pissed off that the countless billions they've spent on British and American arms might be fine for blowing up Yemeni markets, hospitals and school buses, but are shite for defending vital infrastructure against home made drones. https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-saudi-aramco-security/costly-saudi-defences-prove-no-match-for-drones-cruise-missiles-idUKKBN1W22FL https://www.reuters.com/article/us-saudi-aramco-houthis/yemen-houthi-drones-missiles-defy-years-of-saudi-air-strikes-idUSKBN1W22F4 Edited September 17, 2019 by welshbairn

She should call a by election. I very rarely find myself agreeing with you, but yes. If someone resigns party membership and doesnt sit as an ‘independent labour’ or ‘independent life sucking poor person murderer/tory’ and joins another party then yes it should absolutely be a by election.
Mark Connolly
Channel 4's documentary on the Tories looks like it could be interesting viewing. Alan Duncan does not seem to be a fan of Mark Francois.

No surprise there. I was slated to be a named person at my work. Didn't really see what all the fuss was about. From what I could see it was simply centralising information that already existed. Oh well
Mark Connolly
It was a good idea in principle with poorly written/thought out legislation. Of course, rather than working together to try to iron out the issues and make it work, it's far better to have polarised stances and bin the idea totally.

No surprise there. The people against it do not inspire confidence. "No to Named Persons (NO2NP) coalition, which includes the Christian Institute, Care (Christian Action Research and Education), Tyme Trust and the Family Education Trust." Anyway, the opposition are crowing about as if they had won a football match. Hardly the right response IMO.

It's basically keeping a file on every family in the country detailing their children's interactions with the state over 18 years which is passed about between teachers/social workers.
