Taylor has the same vulnerability as he's always had in the ams- plants his feet and too upright so takes too many punches. Understand them trying to progress Taylor and build him up, but Burns last fight was a world unification and he's being lined up to fight another former world champ in a huge fight in Crolla. Taylor looks class, but he's only had 10 fights, none at anywhere near Ricky's level. Give him a couple of European level fights first and then seriously discuss Ricky Burns. I will need to watch it again sober but I thought both did well. Taylor has the same vulnerability as he's always had in the ams- plants his feet and too upright so takes too many punches. Davies was generally hitting arms and gloves, or being made to miss altogether, all night, and Taylor was catching him flush consistently.
