The student hall I lived in had a protest - successful - to achieve an upgrade from this arse-ripping stuff. It was good for the old paper-comb musical combo, though. Drew Brees
Could always double up as tracing paper. Don't know what was worse, someone coming up with that as acceptable arse wiping material or others agreeing with them and manufacturing it.

jagfox
Forgot to post that it was 2000AD and Judge Dredd's 40th birthday just the other week. Dredd didn't start until Prog 2. My first issues were about five years later.
Hedgecutter
There has to be at least one P&Ber who still has a peat fire/range, Shirley? My auld man was from Sutherland and we'd always help to 'stack the peat' when we visited his brother and maw each summer. I've got a few big bags of peats in my garage that I use for my fire. Unsure if a 'peat fire' is distinctly different to a coal fire filled with peats though. I usually do half and half, with the peats to add a grand reek to the street to make the neighbours jealous.
Heart of Northern
A lovely piece of modern architecture from a store no longer in Edinburgh. The sculptures at the front used to freak me out as a kid. Hated them and the massive escalators as soon as you walked in! Can you name it?
