"The ICT Thread - From the Premiership to the Seaside"

We must be approaching about 30 rival posters now who have told us “not to conveniently pile it all on Gardiner” which absolutely nobody has done ever. He has been rightly ripped to shreds for his role but has never been the only one.

To say nobody has done that is a tad disingenuous, no?

He’s received by far the most blame and there was also a three-part article produced this week by a paper, with the very clear intention of singling him out as public enemy number one.

Apologies mate didn't mean to rev you up but given your take on yer team it explains why you spend so much time on this thread, have you tried knitting as a hobby to get your mind off yer teams travails.

It’s an open forum grandad, try to keep up.

He came up with the idea of moving the team to f**king Kelty for which he absolutely deserves that label. He's also been the CEO for the past five years. Again, none of which is to say the board are without blame for trying to push his schemes through - but at least they had the sense to stop the Kelty move after the outcry. Take your Gardiner defence act somewhere else.

He has received the most blame because he deserves the most blame. He hasn’t been the only one blamed though, Morrison, Robertson, the rest of the board are all culpable.

There’s no doubting Morrison and the other board members deserve a lot of the blame. However it’s hard to know what extent they knew about the clubs true financial outlook if the claims about Gardiner are true.

Some of the stuff Gardiner’s done recently (allegedly - for Scot’s lawyers):

- Signed a kit deal twice the size of what we need

- Had 28,000 unread emails

- Lied to Charlie Christie that the loanees in January were coming up for free (Christie later received invoices from the clubs for these loans)

- Told Carlisle not to bother paying any compo for Cammy Harper

- Concocted the Kelty move (allegedly behind the boards back with Morrison)

That’s just some of the stuff that immediately springs to mind. I’d imagine the other board members have their own day jobs/companies and expected the CEO to have a certain level of competence (replying to emails isn’t difficult ffs). But quite rightly they deserve some of the blame for letting the club get into the state it’s in and not having more checks on SG.

Like the (alleged) true narcissist that SG is, its obvious that he has done what he wanted without conscience yet somehow comes out the other side garnering some sympathy. The man takes no responsibility yet knows how to manipulate those (board members & media) into somehow defending more than attacking him.

The facts all the signs around him have been there for years at not just ICT but elsewhere in Scottish football however are ignored and cast aside with false sympathies for his final predicaments citing others as complicit, attitudes like this may yet suggest he manages to get another job in football.

I am genuinely enraged by this guy being unable to spell the word “bias.” He does it f**king twice.

I think he's trying to be smart and is referring to a computer's bios, but he's just coming across as a first class w**k.

When did the 7,000 unread emails that Savage publicly referred to in August become 28,000? Is there a Seville calculator at work here? I'd guess the vast majority of those are junk anyway. A business the size of ICT wouldn't get that many actually relevant emails.

Savage said 7,000 then a “club insider” claimed 28,000 when speaking to one of the local papers.

I agree not all of them will be useful or relevant but when you see guys like Mike Edwards claiming to have offered to invest and heard nothing back it does add up.

If you took even a moment to read what I’ve said then you’d know I have not once defended Gardiner. He’s incompetent, bordering on criminally negligent.

There has just been a very transparent attempt by the club to act as though they were powerless to stop him. Nobody involved in the running of ICT over the last few years has any business being involved in its future.

The trick here is to use mark as read. You don't need to actually read them.

That's why two of our recent chairmen have resigned in the last few months as well as Gardiner. The other one has been there less than a year.

Big Dunc says ICT can stay in the division if they “keep up the form”

I’m fighting for them. I brought a lot of the players to the club. They will be an asset down the line, they’ll make money for the club.

They wouldn’t be at the club if it wasn’t for me, they came for me, so there’s no way that I’m going to leave them.
