Makes me think of about 2 years ago when McCall left and I saw Canning in the Main stand at one of the games, was sure he was going to be the new manager after a longggg wait and we got Mark Kerr. craigkillie Posted January 2, 2022 Share Posted January 2, 2022 I have no idea why Kilmarnock are interested given they have Hendry and Shaw as 9’s, Polworth and Robinson as 10’s and then a number of players that could play higher up out wide. Wouldn’t exactly say that is a position they needed to upgrade. It would be a good signing for us to play in behind Tomi though. On Gogic, he was a pretty regular starter for Hibs - we can’t really expect him to drop down a level from the top end of the league above. Hendry is only on loan and St Johnstone have the option to bring him back in January which they might choose to do. We had a deal to sign Gullan on loan basically done in August but then Hibs didn't get the striker they were after and kept him.Not sure what Polworth's situation is given that we haven't seen him in a while and there have been rumours circling about his attitude, similar to what happened at Motherwell. Could just be an injury and a total coincidence though. Davidson doesn’t seem to rate Hendry whatsoever, so you would surely be surprised if he was recalled! Even more concerned they won’t sign if it is Martin Canning.
