Mod1967
Arbroath in hindsight was 2 points dropped, I thought Hamilton deserved a point on a baking hot afternoon, ICT was awful with the chances missed to a lesser extent so was Cove, flip side we could have got nothing from QP away and Thistle but ultimately probably deserved the wins, could have also sneaked a draw at Raith but for abysmal defending, but really it would have been undeserved. We're doing really well and now as has been said we've real quality around Dipo with Young, Mullen and Chalmers now added to McKenzie, Connor, JML and Ashford with young Bryden to come back. Short of one possibly in midfield, but I really like Smith who has a great future, full backs need to step up though as they're killing us just now although Houston has steadied the last 2 games, I really like Paddy Reading and I'm sure he'll rediscover some form, finally criticism of Albison this season is incredible, along with Dipo, Murdoch and Musonda he must be in the running for player of the season so far. Finally we've as much chance as any.
ayrunitedfw
The thought of winning the league still seems mental to me given we’ve narrowly avoided relegation the past two season however I’ve seen every team and there’s not one I’ve seen who look better than us. In the games we’ve lost it’s more down to a poor performance from us than anything the opposition has done. There is probably about 7 teams who will feel they have a chance of the title/play off spot. You’d think Dundee, Thistle and Queens Park will have the spending power to significantly strengthening but given their is a real ambition from our club at the moment I’d expect us to do the same. I fully expect us to be in the mix come the end of the season but maybe a bit early yet to book the Low green

Aye, the Morton game at Somerset has all the makings of a slobberknocker. They were clinical as they swatted away ICT last night and they are going on a fine run. Baird was looking like a changed player.
Trogdor
Will Reading start today? Big big question. I prefer Frankie in the middle but we have been far too exposed down the left. I can make a case for either or. We need to keep wee Linn quiet today, he seems to be going through something of a renaissance.
Thumper
Just saw last night's result. This league is fucking bananas. Nobody seems to be able to defend for shit.

UpInTheAyr
Could be quite the race for 4th this season, assuming the league evens out at some point.
Iain
It would be good to see two or three clubs get detached at the bottom, so today's game could be important in that regard.
Roxanne's man
Could I ask why Somerset park is called Somerset park? Where did the name come from? Anyone know? (Won't ask the same question about Arbroath's ground in case I upset people.)

edinburghhonestman
Before the season started most of us would have been happy to be three points clear of Morton at this stage but who'd have thought we'd have been the top two. What a league this is
Honest_Man#1
This team has me at full mast. Have to say like many others I am completely full of humble pie at the rate I’m having to wolf it down. Was incredibly worried at the end of last season and especially after the horrendous league cup campaign and thought Bullen wasn’t up to it, but being well put in my place and delighted about it.
Iain
What's the route going to be for the open top bus tour after we win the league?
diegomarahenry
Even is we were 30 points clear with 10 games to go, I'd still think we'd manage to f**k it up so I'm not going to get carried away. The way the league is going, we could lose the next two games and still be in the top 3, a couple of points off top. Looking at the next few weeks, Morton at home while thistle play Dundee, an Ayr win could put us six points ahead of thistle, seven above Dundee. A defeat of under 6 goals to Morton and we would still be top. The following week we are away to Hamilton on the Friday night, Inverness play Queens Park and Morton play Thistle. If we win the next two games and the other teams cut each others throats, we could have a decent gap. We won't of course with the way the league is going, we'll lose to Morton and draw with Hamilton.

If Morton beat us 3-0 they’d go above us on goal difference but hopefully that won’t happen! Ah love this feeling on a Saturday late afternoon. Time for a few beers boys and girls. Have a good night, I’m going too
AuAl
Some performance again. A lot of grit and character in that one. Jayden, take a bow. Thought we were excellent defensively. Musonda, Kirk and McGinty won everything they had too. Super stuff.
ayrunitedfw
Couldn’t make it up today, watched it on a dodgy stream with a dodgy camera so no idea how we actually played. Couldn’t care less though given the result This group of players and coaching staff are really likeable and one we can get behind.
UpInTheAyr
Actually a more impressive result than Tuesday. The ability to grind out a win with games like that is something we have been missing and will count a lot to our final league position.

Jazzar
The comparison with this time last year is fuckin mental. Bullen deserves shit loads of credit as do the backroom staff (signings, fitness etc). Not getting carried away, just loving the feeling, especially when it co-incides with them getting beat.
