But few would argue that the ceasefire motion they tabled last week – which triggered such ructions in the Commons – was aimed solely at helping Palestinians in need. It was also designed to expose and widen the rift within the ranks of their electoral rivals, Labour" Looks like that notorious right wing rag the guardian agrees with me, and not with the vacant twenty on this thread For the sake of absolute clarity, Galloway would not be an MP if Labour hadn't completely and utterly fucked up. Starmer's promise of quality candidates in every constituency at the GE is a fucking belter. What chance does he have of getting 650 lined up when he couldn't manage 1. Useless c**t.

You promoted a racist conspiracy theory. Sit the rest of this one out.

I said Hamas was propagandising the hospital 'attack' everyone lost their shit about on here blaming the Israelis when it turned out it wasn't them For that particular term a history search shows you're more attached to it than me Having though about it, yeah, wasn't the best word to use, but if you think hamas are a neutral reporting organisation you're tapped And err, talking about using dodgy phrases, what about your take on "from the river to the sea"....? Derry Pele
Diane Abbott: MP denied chance to speak during Commons race debate In a PMQs dominated by comments made by a Tory donor about her, Diane Abbott rose at least 46 times to ask a question but did not get to speak. Funny how the Speaker could “use his discretion” the other week but not today

Funny how the Speaker could “use his discretion” the other week but not today Yep, and Hoyle attempting to justify it on the basis that many other MP's sought to intervene in the debate. That weak argument quickly falls apart on the fact that as far as we know none of these other MP's had been targeted as Diane Abbott has. In the context of the PMQ session she should have been allowed to contribute. Hoyle has become a liability as Speaker.

Dunning1874
See Abbott has an article in the Independent today which primarily focuses on the Tories & Hester, but also mentions Labour's own failures on racism and sexism, including their failure to act on the Forde Report. Cue a massive amount of blatant lying from Labour figures on TV today claiming the recommendations of that report have been implemented in full, when no such thing has happened to the point that Forde himself went to the media to complain about it. Meanwhile, Labour are using the Hester scandal to fundraise, sending the following email out: Abbott is currently suspended from the whip and has been for 11 months.

GHF-23
Labour now dropping their worker's rights program other than in a purely symbolic sense. Something extremely vague will be presented in the first 100 days but all detail now to be worked out through consultation with business leaders per the FT. It's good stuff guys
SandyCromarty
Keir Hardie one of the Labour Party founders would be shocked at what the present Labour Party has turned into. Hardie in Parliament spoke once on how great the wealth of the nation had become but instead of the wealth bringing comfort to the masses it had instead brought increased burdens to the masses. Sound familiar?
Inanimate Carbon Rod
Its a labour party in name only, they are beholden to business leaders and academics who obsess over things that people struggling to keep the lights on dont care about. Labour has shifted economically to the right and become irrelevant in many other areas.
SandyCromarty
If people will vote Labour in the mistaken belief that Labour will turn things around away from the tory rich benefitting and bring the balance back to the majority then they should prepare themselves to be let down. And if you want to know how things will go when Labour are in power bear in mind that Starmer has already sided with the tories on the two child cap while in opposition. And remember how Scottish Labour were quick to jump into bed with the tories during the referendum campaign. Plus voting for a London based party will ensure the wealth will stay in the south of England.
